三十郎在村子裡開了一家丸子店，並娶了可愛的老婆，名字叫做阿蕪。三十郎丸有三個特色：「便宜、好吃、大顆」，丸子店每一天都生意興隆。椿象阿龜也開了一家丸子店，「昂貴、難吃、小顆」，再加上「不衛生」，總共四個特色，根本沒有客人上門。於是，椿象阿龜去拜託欺負百姓的惡官──大鍬形蟲，要他幫忙毀掉三十郎的丸子店。

正在丸子店用餐的鍬形蟲傳八，因為被打擾用餐，因此用他俐落的劍法收拾了惡官的手下們，但也因此和他們結下梁子，這對一向主張只要顧好自己比較重要的傳八來說，真是天大的誤會啊！

到底獨角仙武士能否擊敗大鍬形蟲？他和鍬形蟲傳八之間又會發生什麼難忘的故事？就讓我們跟著宮西達也一起來看看吧！
