De Deluxe55 is het zoveelste wapenfeit in de indrukwekkende line-up van Origin Effects. Deze zeer ingenieuze en onverwoestbare overdrive huisvest als het ware een complete Tweed-stijl versterker in miniatuurformaat. Elk onderdeel van de signaalketen, van voortrap tot phase-inverter tot eindtrap, is op ingenieuze wijze nagebootst. De Deluxe55 reageert dus zoals the real thing; dit pedaal gromt, bijt en explodeert net als een echte Tweed amp. De klank van de Deluxe55 is dan ook allesbehalve netjes! Kenmerkend voor dergelijke circuits is een gigantische hoeveelheid squash en karakter, met een zeer uitgesproken, smerige midrange bark. Je kunt zelfs kiezen uit twee verschillende soorten eindbuizen om het karakter van de overdrive verder naar smaak in te regelen. Wauw!

Won’t cut

I have bought two of these The first wouldn’t cut so it was returned and replaced with another one that also would not cut. Wouldn’t recommend buying these at all.

I really like it

This thing is pretty cool. It's small, rechargeable, and it works in a weird way but very well. When I first tried it I thought it was broken and I ran it around a few times and it never cut the can where you see them cut with a normal can opener. I then realized that the whole top of the can lifts off! I've never seen that before. I actually really like it. So far I've only charged it once, but I don't use cans on a consistent basis so the charge will probably last forever. I just have to remember to plug it in occasionally so it's not dead one day when I really need it! The only reason it didn't get five stars is because the button is a little bit sensitive. If you're not careful sticking it in the drawer that button can press itself easy and then it will just run continuously.
