The Evolution FS hybridizes the best drag features of two of Ross Reels' most celebrated designs — the award-winning LTX and the beloved Animas — creating an entirely new level of hybrid drag strength engineered for both fresh and saltwater conditions. This is a reel that performs with equal confidence on a western trout river and a tropical saltwater flat.
The symmetrical semi-caged frame is machined for unprecedented strength in the field. The rounded radius frame design eliminates the frustrating problem of fly line slipping between the spool and frame — solved by design on the FS. The easy-to-find drag knob is simple to rotate even during a chaotic fight and engineered to avoid catching fly line as fish head for the horizon.
