I picked up the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) Wayfarer mainly for hands-free recording and the AI features, and overall it’s a really cool piece of wearable tech. The design looks just like normal Ray-Bans, so they don’t feel gimmicky or overly “techy” when wearing them in public. The camera quality is surprisingly good for glasses. For a device that can see what you see and has AI capabilities, having some kind of built-in visual feedback would have made the experience even more powerful. That said, as a recording device and AI-assisted wearable, these are genuinely impressive. If you want discreet, hands-free video capture in a stylish form factor, the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer is a very unique and well-executed smart device.
