EFX Sports Kre-Alkalyn Powder keeps it simple for strength gains. It uses a patented buffered creatine monohydrate to deliver creatine support without any extras. No pump stuff, no stims, no hidden blends, no fillers taking up space. The idea is straightforward: grab a branded creatine, keep the label clear, and make it easy to add to your pre, intra, protein, or recovery drinks.

Everything revolves around Kre-Alkalyn® at 1,500mg per scoop. This is buffered creatine monohydrate, set to a high alkaline pH around 12-14. It works the same way as regular creatine monohydrate, which is one of the best-studied supplements for boosting muscle phosphocreatine to remake ATP fast during intense bursts. That's key for quick, powerful moves like heavy lifts, sprints, throws, or tough intervals where energy runs out quick.

The buffering helps it avoid turning into creatinine in your stomach acid, which is why they say you can use lower doses without loading. Here's the real talk: creatine has tons of studies—over 170 trials and 19 big reviews—showing it helps with intense performance, muscle growth, and even brain function. But studies don't prove buffered creatine beats regular monohydrate if both are dosed right. What you get is a branded, pH-stable option that some people pick for ease, how it feels, and reliability.

Dose context matters. The resear

Key Highlights

  • 1,500mg Kre-Alkalyn® per scoop — that's patented buffered creatine monohydrate made for pH stability. It hits the phosphocreatine-ATP system, just like creatine, one of the top proven performers in supplements.
  • Branded creatine — Kre-Alkalyn® isn't some generic filler. It's a trademarked, buffered ingredient from All American Pharmaceutical & Natural Foods Corporation, built for gut stability.
  • Helps remake ATP during intense efforts — creatine donates phosphate fast to rebuild ATP in explosive moves. That means better backup for heavy weights, repeat sprints, and high-power workouts where energy drops quick.
  • No hidden blends — full label honesty. You see the ingredient, the exact dose, and can match it to creatine studies without guessing.
  • Zero stims — no caffeine, no crashes, no messing with sleep if you take it later. Easy to use daily and stack with your pre without extra stims.
  • Just one ingredient — nothing steals the spotlight from creatine's main job. If you want a basic performance booster, not a loaded mix, this is it.
  • Backed by serious research — creatine has over 170 studies and 19 big reviews for intense performance, muscle gains, and athletic benefits. Few supplements match this evidence.
  • Flexible daily dosing — one scoop gives 1.5g, two hit 3g. That's handy since studies often use 3-5g daily, so you can adjust to fit your needs.

Who Is This For?

  • Strength lifters chasing low-rep power and repeat output. Creatine's phosphocreatine boost fits heavy compounds, where quick energy turnover means every bit of extra strength counts across sets.
  • Bodybuilders in high-volume muscle-building phases wanting a stim-free daily base. Kre-Alkalyn® gives clean creatine for workout density, set quality, and long-term gains without messing up their pre stack.
  • Fighters and field athletes needing sprint and explosive repeat without caffeine reliance. One-ingredient creatine fits around practices, conditioning, and evening sessions without sleep issues.
  • Gym folks with a favorite pre who want separate creatine. This is just buffered monohydrate, so it adds in without extra stims or junk.
  • Athletes who like branded stuff and clear labels over mystery blends. Kre-Alkalyn® is trademarked, and you see exactly what's in each scoop.
  • People after year-round support, not instant stims. Creatine thrives on consistency, making this great for steady use over chasing big first-day feels.

How to Use

Take it every day, not just hard sessions. For most, 3g hits research sweet spots, so two 1,500mg scoops if you want the 3-5g range. Timing's flexible since it's about saturation, but pre or post are easy habits. Mix in 8-16 oz water, or add to pre, carbs, or shake; shaker helps it blend smooth. With or without food works, but pairing with meals or carbs is convenient. No cycling needed; it's a daily staple, not a stim that builds tolerance. If new to creatine or sensitive gut, start with one scoop, go to two. Keep it sealed, cool, dry, and stay hydrated.

What to Expect

First 0-10 minutes: probably just easy mixing, no stim vibes. 10-40 minutes: still no buzz; creatine isn't like caffeine for quick hits. In the workout, day one might feel nothing big. Days 1-7: the win is easy daily use without crashes or clashes. Weeks 2-4: at 3g daily, buildup helps repeat efforts, less set fade, stronger short bursts. Long-term, it shows in better training that leads to strength and muscle gains.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much Kre-Alkalyn® is in each scoop of EFX Sports Kre-Alkalyn Powder?

Each scoop provides 1,500mg of Kre-Alkalyn®, the patented buffered creatine monohydrate. That is one exact active ingredient with no proprietary blend and no additional performance actives hidden behind a blend name.

Is 1,500mg enough creatine per day?

One scoop delivers 1.5g, but the most common research-backed creatine maintenance range is 3-5g daily. If you want to align more closely with the literature, 2 scoops per day for 3g total is the more evidence-consistent approach.

Does Kre-Alkalyn® work better than regular creatine monohydrate?

Kre-Alkalyn® is a buffered, trademarked form of creatine monohydrate designed for pH stability. Independent evidence does not clearly show it is superior to standard creatine monohydrate when both are dosed appropriately, but many users still prefer it for its branded form, simplicity, and stack-friendly profile.

Do I need a loading phase with this product?

EFX Sports positions Kre-Alkalyn® as a no-loading creatine option. In practice, the key variable is consistent daily intake over time, and many users simply take 3g daily rather than performing a traditional high-dose loading protocol.

Will I feel this product right away like a pre-workout?

No. This formula contains no stimulants, so you should not expect a rush, tingles, or acute energy. Creatine works by building muscle stores over time, and the benefits show up more as improved repeat performance and training quality than as a day-one sensation.

Can I stack EFX Sports Kre-Alkalyn Powder with my pre-workout?

Yes. This is one of the easiest products to stack because it contains only buffered creatine monohydrate and no caffeine, pump agents, or nootropics. It fits cleanly into almost any pre-workout or intra-workout routine.

When is the best time to take this creatine powder?

The best time is the time you will take it consistently. Pre-workout and post-workout are both practical, but creatine’s benefits come from saturation rather than minute-specific timing, so daily compliance matters more than perfect timing.

Is this product good for strength training?

Yes. Creatine is one of the most evidence-backed ingredients for strength and high-intensity performance because it helps regenerate ATP during explosive effort. That makes it highly relevant for heavy sets, repeated bouts of power, and progressive overload.

Can endurance athletes use this product?

Yes, especially if their sport includes repeated surges, sprint finishes, intervals, or mixed-modality work. Creatine is less about steady-state endurance and more about high-intensity repeat effort within an overall endurance or conditioning context.

Does this formula contain any caffeine or stimulants?

No. Despite metadata noise elsewhere, the verified formula here is a single active: Kre-Alkalyn® at 1,500mg. There is no caffeine and no stimulant complex in this product.

Durable and a favorite toy
My 7 month old Black Lab loves this bone. She is a chewer and has gone to town on the three ends. They are roughed up a bit but holding up better than expected. Highly recommend for dogs that love to chew.

Perfect for aggressive chewers
I have a 2 year old pittie and she chows thru bones in minutes, even those reviewed as "long lasting". This thing is still going strong after 9 months. She was not initially interested, had to spread peanut butter on one end, one time, and now it is her go-to chew toy. Looks a little mangled after all this time but she's not even 75% thru it. Highly recommend, no stomach issues.

Best long-lasting dog chew
If you want something to occupy your dog that's harmless, this is the one. He doesn't have to chase it, so it doesn't get lost under the cabinets, and he's been chewing it for hours and barely made a mark on it. When he's chewing on this, he's not whining or asking to sit on my lap, and he can stay nearby as he enjoys this toy.

Not perfect for every dog, but still worth a shot
I bought the bacon-flavored Benebone with high hopes after reading the reviews. Our 45lb mutt loves to chew on bones (and thankfully that's ALL she loves to chew on!) but we've had trouble finding anything that she can't destroy in one sitting. We've heard that antlers are the longest lasting but can be damaging to the dog's teeth, so we wanted to try something with a little less potential for disaster. The Benebone wishbone fared okay. I do have to say that she loved the bone, as did our 14lb schnoodle. The first day she had it, they took turns gnawing on it for hours. Unfortunately, the large one's jaws are quite strong, and so by the end of day 1 there were some pretty significant teething marks on each of the ends, and it was starting to look pretty gnarly. I put it up for a little bit, but they've had other nylon bones that looked worse so I gave it back to them the next day. On day 2, the little one was chewing on it so vigorously (and I think the bone was gnarly enough) that her gums started bleeding. I noticed the blood on the bone so I took it away again. On day 3, I gave the bone back to the large one to chew on. It wasn't too long, though, until I was hearing some pretty loud snaps and I found that the large pup was actually starting to get larger pieces off of the ends of the wishbone. This had me worried, so I threw the wishbone away. Relative to other chew toys that the large one likes (she'll only chew on bones and edibles, for some reason - nothing with any sort of rubbery material), this did actually have a decent life span, but we're still looking for something better. I give the product 3 stars because the dogs clearly loved the bone, and I'm sure that it's perfect for some dogs. For example, if it was just our schnoodle chewing on it, it would have lasted much longer and I would probably be posting a 5-star review here. In the end, though, we did buy the wishbone for the larger dog, and it failed to hold up for her - for the price, I would have wanted something that lasts longer - hence the two star deduction. UPDATE 8/10/2014: Not long after I posted this review, Benebone contacted me in the comments to offer a refund and hinted at the potential for a larger bone sometime in the future. I sent in our order number and they processed the refund quickly. I've added back an extra star, because Benebone's stellar customer service has made the product worth the try. I would definitely do business with Benebone again, and I'm looking forward to trying (or rather, having my pup try) a larger version of the bone if/when it surfaces!
