The Electro-Voice COL-1 is a rare professional compressor/limiter module produced in the late 1970s to early 1980s, designed for broadcast and studio mastering with a smooth VCA-based gain-control circuit, adjustable threshold, ratio, attack and release, plus true peak-limiting for overload protection. Known for its warm, musical compression and low-noise performance, the COL-1 is sought after today by engineers and vintage-gear collectors for its rugged build, classic American studio sound, and the ability to add subtle glue or firm limiting to mixes and live systems

Condition:

  • This unit has been used.

  • This unit has been thoroughly tested. Everything is working as it should. There are no faults to note.

  • The cosmetic condition of this unit is good. It shows general wear from use and age like some marks, nicks scratches and rack rash. Please see all photos for further detials.

  • Please be aware, this unit is 100V. This means you MUST connect it to the correct step-down transformer before powering it on. If you are unsure about this feel free to send us a message as we would be glad to help you source the correct item. We also have some for sale HERE.

  • The use of a step-down transformer may also apply to international buyers as well. Please ask if you are unsure so we can help you source the correct item.

  • This unit uses an IEC cable to power on. A Japanese IEC will be included for you to use with your step-down transformer.

  • This sale is for the unit and Japanese IEC only. Nothing else is included in the sale.
