We’re pleased to offer seeds from Anthurium Carlablackiae OG4 (S2), an exceptional and highly regarded Carlablackiae selection by Scott Cohen (@iamscottcohen). We personally selected the OG4 x self mother plant during our visit to Scott’s nursery in Florida, USA. The seeds offered here are from the selfing of our mother plant, making this generation (OG4 x self) x self, classified as S2.

If you have been following us for a while, you’ll know it has long been our promise to make Carlablackiae accessible to collectors at around £75 or below. We are excited to finally honour that promise with this offering, giving you the opportunity to own a premium OG4 S2 seedling at an approachable price.

Seeds harvesting started on the 02/02/2026. Anthurium seeds ripen at different times and are expected to complete harvesting over the next week or two. We will despatch orders based on that, whoever ordered first will get the seeds harvested first. 

OG4 is best known for its very thick, bold veining and outstanding leaf texture. For us, texture is where OG4 truly excels. The leaves are exceptionally thick and firm, with a depth and substance that sets it apart from many other Carlablackiae.

Growing Anthurium from Seed

We recommend placing the seeds on top of lightly moist sphagnum moss. Keep them in a closed or semi-closed container to maintain high humidity, with warm temperatures and bright, indirect light. Ensure consistent moisture without waterlogging and allow gentle airflow when possible by opening the box every 2-3 days. Germination times can vary, and each seedling will develop at its own pace.
