Join teaching artist Emily Evans for a joyful 8-week journey into creativity at The New Local! Designed especially for homeschool students ages 5–10, this hands-on art class encourages curiosity, confidence, and self-expression through a wide variety of materials and techniques.

Each week, students will explore new themes in painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media while learning about color, texture, and form. Emily’s engaging and nurturing teaching style fosters both skill-building and imagination—helping young artists develop their creative voice in a supportive, community-centered environment.

Throughout the session, students will complete individual and collaborative projects inspired by nature, storytelling, and contemporary art. The class will culminate in a mini art showcase where families are invited to celebrate the students’ creativity and growth.
