The region of the American southwest that encompasses Carlsbad Caverns National Park and Guadalupe Mountains National Park is filled with contrasts and ripe with intrigue. On this CD, you'll hear the flurry of cave swallows outside the caverns' entrance, the cadence of water seeking the very bottom of the cave, the harmony of a morning chorus of desert birds, the percussion of a passing mountain storm, and the whirr of bats overhead as they spiral toward the darkening sky en masse.
