De Boden Metal NX 7 is het ultieme wapen voor de metallist die meer bereik en meer kracht wil. Dit 7-snarige headless instrument combineert het ergonomische Boden-ontwerp met hardware en elektronica die speciaal zijn afgestemd op de zwaarste speelstijlen. De Black Granite finish geeft het geheel een donkere, agressieve uitstraling die perfect past bij het karakter van dit instrument.

Tonaal is de Boden Metal NX 7 een absolute krachtpatser. De Lundgren M7 humbuckers zijn speciaal ontworpen voor 7-snarig metal spel: een hoge output, strakke lows op de lage B-snaar en een snijdende attack die ook in de meest extreme gain-situaties helder en gedefinieerd blijft. De vaste brug zorgt voor maximale sustain en een directe, strakke respons op elke noot.

De hals is uitgevoerd in gekwartszaagd esdoorn met koolstofvezelversterking en het kenmerkende EndurNeck-profiel, wat zorgt voor maximale stabiliteit en een ontspannen greep over alle 7 snaren. De Richlite toets met 24 Jescar 51100 roestvrijstalen frets speelt soepel en snel, ook in de hoogste posities. It extends the time between oil changes and holds up well under both daily driving and highway mileage. We don't "extend the time" though. It's changed, on the dot, every time. The consistency and quality of the oil's condition at change, though, is easily able to be seen that it would go for much longer. Engine runs quieter, and I’ve noticed better fuel efficiency over time compared to conventional oil. Whether that's how attentively I drive and watch the mileage meter on the dash or the oil - is up for debate ;) It doesn’t burn off as quickly either, which is great if you’re keeping an eye on long-term engine health. Excellent choice for long oil change intervals.

I'm a former dealership mechanic and for years I used whatever we had in the bulk tank which was usually Valvoline conventional. My last job was at a German car dealership. Castrol was the oil recommended by the German manufacturers and that's when I started using Castrol. In my experience Castrol is an excellent oil. My 2014 Ford just rolled over 242,000 miles and even with factory 10,000 mile oil change intervals, from what I can see through the oil fill the top end of the engine is still clean. I've never had to remove the valve cover. It's using about a quart between oil 10,000 mile oil changes which is great because when it was new it used about a 1/2 quart between changes.
