The Fox 987-24-003 2.5 Performance Series IFP HTO Shock Absorber is a bolt-on upgrade designed to enhance both on and off-road performance. It features position-sensitive technology, vehicle-specific valving, and larger pistons. The shock's type II anodized aluminum body efficiently dissipates heat and resists corrosion. The 2.5-inch shock body includes an internal floating piston (IFP) that separates the shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen for optimized damping.
Equipped with Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) technology, this shock provides precise rebound damping control on and off the road. HTO reduces harsh top-outs and increases comfort by forcing shock oil through a secondary shim stack to slow the shock shaft speed. This technology is especially beneficial for vehicles with heavier, more aggressive tires and those lifted beyond OEM specifications. My son destroys shoes, same thing happened here.

For some reason my son started doing the duck walk at school and while performing this little trick for his classmates he ripped the rubber that wraps over top the toe. Now, instead of being glued up and into place, its basically sagging down. Thankfully that's the only thing that's gone wrong with these and honestly this sort of wear and tear is not typical. What I would say is that if your child is rough on shoes, I would pass on these. They are very nice, very light weight and are great for school. However, due to the design, they might not best good for some kids.
In terms of sizing and comfort, my son wears a 5 and these fit him very well. He has wide feet like his dad, and these don't bother him at all. He's says they're very comfortable and does enjoy wearing them.
