Wildflower Good as Gold Blend #23

Good as Gold is a bit of a dream beer for us, it's a 50/50 blend of barrel aged Gold and fresh Gold that has just completed primary fermentation. 

Good as Gold is a 50/50 blend of barrel aged Gold and fresh Gold that has just completed primary fermentation. Both the young and aged components are wholly fermented by a diversity of yeasts and bacteria collected from native flowers from NSW. Bright citrus and limey Motueka hop notes on the nose balance with structure and length from aged, oakier barrels.

We brew with regenerative organic grains at our old-world brewery in Marrickville where the beer undergoes a warm primary fermentation with our house culture from NSW flowers. We taste and select the most mature barrels from our cellar which would benefit from the youth and aroma of a younger fermentation, blend the two in equal parts, bottle this blend and allow the beer to naturally condition and carbonate for an additional 3 months minimum before release.

Tasting notes - Really lovely citrus aromas backed up with dark spice and ripe fruit on the nose. The palate is noticeably unified creating a singular expression from start to finish. Bright, juicy and generous, a venerable blend of this semi-flagship.
