Big stim energy with caffeine, alpha-yohimbine, and sharp focus

Insane Labz Psychotic is an old-school high-stim pre-workout that's all about making your workouts feel urgent and locked in. It's not one of those new pump-focused, fully open-label ones. Instead, it uses a prop blend to mix performance boosters like beta-alanine and creatine monohydrate with a heavy stim and nootropic stack: caffeine anhydrous, AMPiberry®, hordenine HCl, DMAE, Rauwolfia vomitoria extract standardized for alpha yohimbine, and Huperzine serrata extract. From what we've seen across sources, it's packing about 400mg of caffeine per scoop, which puts it in the high-stim zone and might be too much for some.

The main driver is caffeine anhydrous. It's the quick-absorbing kind that boosts alertness, makes effort feel easier, and amps up power, endurance, and motivation to train. Studies show 3-6 mg/kg body weight works well. At around 400mg, it's spot-on for experienced folks but could overwhelm lighter or sensitive users. You'll feel it as fast energy, a strong push to get going, more drive, and that 'let's do this' vibe right before sets.

Beta-alanine helps buffer acid in your muscles by building carnosine. That's key for high-intensity reps where the burn kicks in and slows you down. But since the dose is hidden in the blend, we can't say if it's the 3.2g a day that research often uses. If it's solid, expect that tingly feeling right away and better fatigue resistance over time with regular use.

Cre

Key Highlights

  • Around 400mg total caffeine — that's the heart of this pre-workout and why it's straight-up high-stim. It ramps up alertness, cuts how hard reps feel, and gives that urgent push experienced users love.
  • Prop blend with 8 key ingredients — mixes proven performance stuff with hard-hitting stims and focus boosters. You get a unique workout vibe, but heads up, doses aren't broken out, so it's tough to match against studies.
  • Caffeine anhydrous for quick energy hit — absorbs fast, so you feel awake sooner, get that strong wake-up call, and switch from draggy to ready-to-train mode right away.
  • Beta-alanine for fighting fatigue — boosts muscle carnosine to handle the burn in tough sets. Dose isn't listed, so the science is solid but we can't confirm if it's enough for max benefits.
  • Creatine monohydrate for strength and repeat efforts — the go-to for reloading energy in intense work. It's a win for performance, but the prop blend means don't count on a full 3-5g dose from this alone.
  • Rauwolfia vomitoria extract with 90% alpha yohimbine — this amps up the edge over basic high-caffeine pre-workouts. It boosts energy, adds a thermogenic feel, and makes it hit harder, but watch for jitters if you're sensitive.
  • Hordenine HCl ramps up the stim feel — not a ton of human studies, but it's popular in high-stim formulas to boost drive and intensity. It helps make this more than just caffeine.
  • AMPiberry® as a branded stim helper — from juniper berry, it's there to smooth out and extend the energy. Users often say it makes the buzz last longer and feel less crashy than plain caffeine.

Who Is This For?

  • Seasoned pre-workout fans who handle high caffeine fine and crave that urgent, intense feel. The mix of caffeine, hordenine, AMPiberry®, and alpha-yohimbine from Rauwolfia is for folks who want cranked intensity, quick mental start, and aggressive sessions.
  • Bodybuilders and physique guys who crush it when focus and energy are high, especially post-work grinds. Huperzine serrata extract and DMAE sharpen the mental side, while stims keep pace and fire through hypertrophy work.
  • Powerbuilders needing a CNS kick more than pumps. This fits when you want to lock in for heavies, drops, and accessories without your head checking out.
  • Athletes in short, brutal sessions who need fast stims over slow endurance. Caffeine anhydrous fits that, and the full stim setup keeps it forceful from set one.
  • Folks who've tried regular pre's and want more bite, not mild caffeine with light nootropics. Psychotic is for chasing that harder edge over something everyone can handle.
  • Lifters into that classic tingle-and-focus combo. Beta-alanine can deliver the paresthesia buzz, while Huperzine and stims aim for locked-in, no-distraction mode old-school high-stim fans dig.

How to Use

Begin with half a scoop in 8-12 oz cold water 20-30 minutes before hitting the gym to test tolerance. It's high-stim, likely 400mg caffeine full scoop, plus alpha-yohimbine from Rauwolfia making it punchier than caffeine solo. If that's good, go full scoop in 10-16 oz based on taste preference. Shaker beats stirring for even mix. Best on an empty-ish stomach for clean hit, but a light snack can ease it if stims bug you. Don't stack with other pre's, burners, or big caffeine unless you're tracking total. Tolerance creeps up, so mix in low-stim days or breaks. For full creatine, add a standalone daily instead of counting on this one's hidden dose. Keep it sealed cool and dry to maintain powder and taste.

What to Expect

Minutes 0-10: Not a ton yet besides the flavor and hype, but some feel early alertness from the fast caffeine. Minutes 10-20: Stims kick in—energy builds, focus tightens, and beta-alanine might bring tingles if dosed right. Minutes 20-40: Peak time, feeling fully on with strong drive, sharp concentration, and aggressive vibe. Minutes 40-90: Energy holds, but it varies by your tolerance and how the Rauwolfia lands. Days 1-7: Mostly the instant stim hit; beta-alanine or creatine perks are building if doses are solid. Weeks 2-4: Regular use could show better buffering and performance from those, but hidden doses make the long-game less sure than the quick stim win.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in Insane Labz Psychotic?

The label extract provided does not disclose the exact caffeine amount, but cross-source product research commonly cites Psychotic at 400mg total caffeine per serving. That places it firmly in the high-stim category and explains why first-time users should start with half a scoop.

Is Psychotic a good pre-workout for beginners?

No, this is not an ideal beginner formula. The combination of high caffeine, hordenine, and alpha-yohimbine-standardized Rauwolfia makes it much more intense than an entry-level pre-workout.

Does Psychotic contain creatine?

Yes, creatine monohydrate is part of the formula. However, because the product uses a proprietary blend, the exact creatine dose is not disclosed, so you should not assume it provides the full 3-5g daily dose commonly used in research.

Will this make me tingle?

It can. Beta-alanine is included, and tingling or paresthesia is a common short-term sensation when beta-alanine is present in meaningful amounts, although the exact amount in this formula is not disclosed.

What does Rauwolfia vomitoria do in this formula?

This extract is standardized to a minimum of 90% alpha yohimbine, which is used in high-stim formulas to intensify energy, sharpen the experience, and increase the formula’s aggressive feel. It is effective for some users but also one of the main reasons stimulant-sensitive people may find this product too harsh.

Should I take Psychotic on an empty stomach?

Most users get the fastest onset taking it 20-30 minutes before training without a heavy meal. If you are sensitive to stimulants, a light meal can soften the hit, but it may also slightly delay the onset.

Can I stack Psychotic with coffee or an energy drink?

That is generally not a smart idea unless you are carefully tracking total stimulant intake. With an apparent 400mg caffeine level plus supporting stimulants like hordenine and alpha-yohimbine-containing Rauwolfia, stacking more stimulants can push the experience into an uncomfortable range.

Is this a fully transparent formula?

No. Psychotic uses a proprietary blend, which means individual doses for beta-alanine, creatine monohydrate, DMAE, hordenine, Rauwolfia, Huperzine, and AMPiberry® are not fully disclosed.

Do I still need a separate creatine if I use this pre-workout?

Probably yes if your goal is to ensure full clinical creatine intake. Since the creatine monohydrate dose is hidden inside a proprietary blend, a standalone 3-5g daily creatine product is the most reliable way to cover your needs.

How long does the effect usually last?

The main energy window typically starts within 20-30 minutes and can last well into the workout, with some users feeling residual stimulation beyond the session. Exact duration depends on your caffeine tolerance, body weight, and how strongly you respond to the Rauwolfia component.

The best personal finance book I’ve ever read.
Format: Hardcover
Most finance books focus on the mechanics—budgets, tax strategies, portfolio construction, and the endless parade of acronyms and formulas. Those things matter, of course. But they miss the real issue. Money problems are rarely mechanical. They’re behavioral. That’s where The Psychology of Money stands apart. Housel goes straight to the heart of the matter: how people think about money, how emotions shape financial decisions, and why intelligent people still make poor choices with their finances. The book doesn’t lecture you with formulas. It speaks to you. It speaks to your brain—the quiet assumptions you carry about wealth, success, security, and risk. It forces you to confront the uncomfortable reality that managing money well is far more about temperament than intelligence. One chapter that especially stood out to me is “The Seduction of Pessimism.” Housel explains why pessimism often sounds smarter than optimism. Doom and gloom feel analytical and sophisticated, while optimism can sound naive. But over long stretches of time—especially in markets and economic progress—optimism tends to be far closer to reality. It’s a beautifully written chapter and an important reminder for anyone who spends time around financial news or market commentary. What makes this book exceptional is its clarity and humanity. Housel understands that money isn’t just math—it’s tied to ego, fear, status, insecurity, and hope. And until you understand those forces, no spreadsheet or strategy will save you. If you read only one book about money, make it this one.

Great book
Format: Paperback
"The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel is a thought-provoking book that explores the complex relationship between money, greed, and happiness. Housel challenges conventional notions about wealth, arguing that it's not just about smart decisions, but also about behavior and psychology ¹. The book is divided into 20 short chapters, each tackling a different aspect of money psychology. Housel uses engaging storytelling and real-life examples to illustrate his points, making the book an enjoyable read. One of the key takeaways from the book is the importance of understanding your own values and priorities when it comes to money. Housel argues that money is a reflection of our values, and that our financial decisions should align with what's truly important to us ². The book also delves into the power of compounding, highlighting the benefits of long-term thinking and patient investing. Housel emphasizes that getting wealthy slowly is often a more sustainable and reliable approach than seeking overnight success ². Other notable themes in the book include the role of luck in financial outcomes, the dangers of complexity in financial decision-making, and the impact of stories and narratives on our financial behaviors ². Overall, "The Psychology of Money" is a insightful and accessible book that offers valuable lessons for anyone looking to improve their relationship with money. As one reviewer noted, "This book is the book I wish I had read when I was young" ¹. *Key Takeaways:* - *Money as a Reflection of Values*: Understand your own values and priorities when it comes to money. - *The Power of Compounding*: Long-term thinking and patient investing can lead to significant financial gains. - *The Role of Luck*: Recognize the influence of chance and unforeseen circumstances on financial outcomes. - *Simplicity over Complexity*: Avoid complex financial decisions and focus on simplicity and clarity. - *The Impact of Stories*: Be aware of how narratives and stories shape your financial behaviors and decisions.

So Adorable! Thicker Paper and Fun to Color!
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
The Coco Wyo team has done it again! Another super cute coloring book filled with the cutest characters! The paper is thicker than in previous Coco books, yay! but if you’re using markers you will still want to put paper behind the page you are coloring. Ink bleed through still happens but not as much. Shading: If you want to add shadows on top of the marker areas, the Prismacolor premier soft core colored pencils work beautifully, but be sure to let the paper dry completely first. Update Review Regarding Marker Blending: With the thicker paper you can get away with many rounds of normal blending techniques with both alcohol markers. See the photo of mine with the shooting star. That page has so many layers of marker blending that I lost count, haha and the paper is still in tact! Yay! Creating Highlights: I use Sakura gelly roll pens as well as acrylic paint pens for highlights with no issues. Pro tip: If you’re using gelly roll pens, be sure they are bold 10. That will fit the scale of the art on the page and it won’t get clogged during use. Coloring Tools: I’ve tried using: Copic alcohol markers Tombow water based markers Ohuhu alcohol markers Kingart water based markers Kagito alcohol markers Prismacolor Premier Soft Core colored pencils Sakura GellyRoll Moonlight Bold 10 Pens Shuttleart Acrylic paint pens Everything has worked beautifully and I've been able to successfully achieve nice shading and blending. Note: All of the coloring tools I’ve mentioned above can be found and purchased right here on Amazon. I own lots of Coco books and love coloring in them. Their illustration style is calm and friendly, making coloring in them a relaxing and enjoyable experience. There were only a few pages in this book that I would not find enjoyable to color such as the holiday themed pages. I wish they wouldn't always put holiday themed pages in non-holiday books, but they can easily be removed if you want and this book really only had a few, so still worth purchasing in my opinion. You can tell much thought and care went into creating illustrations that would be fun to color while also helping to reduce stress, which is one of the things we all in the coloring community love about coloring right?! Coloring in Coco books is such a fantastic way to reduce stress and their designs are top notch. A highly recommended coloring book for all ages! I hope you found this review helpful!
