Look to the south, the way of the healer, and ask that your heart be open to the healing that is there for you. The lessons you learn will help you know the medicines that grow from our Mother Earth to help with healing

Look to the west, the way of the visionary, and ask that you see more clearly with the eye of our spirit. Your lessons and healing will enable you to see the truth of your journey. Your ancestors will help you.
Look to the north, the way of the leader, the warrior, and ask for the strength to stand for what is honorable, kind, truthful, and loving. The teacher, healer, and visionary will help you to walk in a strong, true, and beautiful way.
This is the way of the Sweat Lodge. These teachings are many thousands of years old. Red, yellow, black, and white people around the world have known these teachings for more than two thousand years, and they are found in the teachings of the one whose birthday is celebrated this time of year.
Remember, we are one race with many colors, cultures, and traditions. We are one race of human beings, with many likenesses. The more we share stories, the easier we see that we are familiar with one another, we are family.
How can there be racism within one race?
Let this be in our minds, always.
The boy, the sweat lodge, and the ancestors can teach us beautiful lessons that enrich our lives. The spirit of the Creator can keep us close to the truth. The truth frees us to be the beautiful people we are.
