Stacked stim energy with brain-boosting support in easy capsules

5% Nutrition Mentality is a stim-heavy nootropic in capsule form, aimed at quick energy, sharp focus, and tough mental stamina when you're wiped. The label shows a smart plan: mix different stimulants for a smooth ramp-up and longer ride, team them with calmers like L-theanine and TeaCrine®, and back it up with choline and a bunch of plant-based brain helpers. It looks good on paper. But the downside is transparency—lots of the big players are in prop blends, so the idea shines brighter than the full dose details.

The vitamins and minerals are straightforward. Vitamin B6 at 12.5 mg as pyridoxine HCl helps make brain chemicals like dopamine and serotonin. Methylcobalamin B12 at 1,250 mcg is a strong dose for blood cell health and nerve support, great if your diet's short on it. Zinc at 40 mg as zinc gluconate is a hefty amount for enzyme work, immune boost, and hormone stuff, but it's at the top safe limit for adults, so don't stack extra zinc without thinking. Calcium at 20 mg is minor and doesn't drive the formula.

The nootropic and adaptogen picks are spot on. Panax ginseng standardized to 7% ginsenosides helps with stress handling, mental staying power, and feeling energized. Rhodiola rosea standardized to 3% rosavins and 1% salidroside is well-studied for fighting fatigue and performing under stress. Bacopa monnieri standardized to 50% bacosides is a solid choice, linked to better memory and learning with regular use, not a quick hit. Ginkgo biloba and gotu kola are traditional cerebral-circulation and

5% Nutrition Mentality by 5% Nutrition contains 20mg Calcium (as Dicalcium Phosphate), a standard dose for training performance and pump.

Key Highlights

  • Mix of caffeine sources with no total listed — Innovatea® natural caffeine, Infinergy™ dicaffeine malate, green tea extract, and guarana give you a smooth energy build instead of one big crash. That means quicker kick-in and longer push, but since the total's hidden, it's best for folks who handle high stims well.
  • L-Theanine teamed up with caffeine — this combo is backed by studies. It sharpens attention and helps switch tasks easier, while cutting the shaky, scattered vibe that straight caffeine can bring.
  • TeaCrine® theacrine throws in another stim-like boost with a different vibe from caffeine. New research shows it can amp up energy, focus, and concentration with a smoother, longer feel and less drop-off over time.
  • Alpha-GPC plus choline bitartrate builds a real choline base. This is key because focus isn't just stims; it's about acetylcholine, the brain chemical that drives concentration, quick reactions, and that dialed-in feeling nootropics chase.
  • Rhodiola rosea standardized to 3% rosavins and 1% salidroside is a sharp adaptogen pick. That spec matches what studies use for beating fatigue and handling stress, but the hidden mg amount means we can't check if it's fully dosed like the research.
  • Panax ginseng standardized to 7% ginsenosides boosts mental grit and that alive feeling. The standardization is clutch since ginsenosides are what make ginseng work as an adaptogen.
  • Bacopa monnieri standardized to 50% bacosides is a quality move. Bacopa's known for memory help over time, and this 50% extract is stronger than plain bacopa powder.
  • Ginkgo biloba and gotu kola expand beyond just stims. These classic plants support mental clarity, better brain blood flow, and a fuller nootropic vibe than caffeine-only stuff.

5% Nutrition Mentality by 5% Nutrition contains 20mg Calcium (as Dicalcium Phosphate), a standard dose for training performance and pump.

Who Is This For?

  • Seasoned stim users wanting more than plain caffeine pills. Mentality mixes stim sources with L-theanine and TeaCrine® for wider energy than single hits, perfect if you like alertness with brain depth.
  • Students and desk jockeys tackling long brain work. Caffeine-theanine is proven for attention and less distraction, plus choline and adaptogens help sustain output over a short buzz.
  • Lifters who crush when focused and aggressive, especially alone. Alpha-GPC, choline bitartrate, caffeine, and TeaCrine® amp drive, concentration, and staying locked from warm-up to last set.
  • Shift workers and early birds needing solid mental kick without powder hassle. Capsules are grab-and-go for bags, travel, or desks.
  • Folks who like adaptogens for stress built into stims. Rhodiola rosea and Panax ginseng fit if your mental dips come from stress and fatigue, not just no caffeine.
  • People switching from rough energizers to balanced nootropics. L-theanine and TeaCrine® make this smoother than high-dose caffeine, even with hidden totals.

How to Use

Take 2 capsules as a full dose, 20-30 minutes before training, studying, or work needing focus. If you're new to brain boosters or stim-sensitive, start with 1 because it packs multiple caffeine sources plus TeaCrine®, theobromine, guarana, and N-methyl tyramine. Swallow with water; no mixing needed beyond staying hydrated. Empty stomach makes stims hit harder and faster, light meal softens if you're jitter-prone. Don't mix with pre-workouts, fat burners, or big coffees until you test your response, since caffeine's in prop blends. No strict cycling needed, but regular stim use builds tolerance, so use on demand or take low-stim breaks. Stacks well with creatine monohydrate, electrolytes, and omega-3 or a clear nootropic for long-term brain gains. Store cool and dry with lid tight to keep capsules fresh.

What to Expect

In the first 10-15 minutes, you'll pick up the stim start more than the herbs. By 20-40 minutes, it's prime time—alertness, engagement, and that caffeine-theanine focus shine. Around then, TeaCrine®, guarana, and dicaffeine malate help avoid a harsh spike. From 40-90 minutes, it's about keeping output steady, but your tolerance matters since caffeine total's hidden. Days 1-7, you'll gauge the energy and if it's smooth or too much. Weeks 2-4, bacopa, rhodiola, ginseng, and maybe lion’s mane step up, if the prop blend doses them right.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in 5% Nutrition Mentality?

The exact total caffeine is not disclosed on the label. Mentality uses multiple stimulant sources including Innovatea® natural caffeine, Infinergy™ dicaffeine malate, green tea extract, and guarana, so it should be treated as a high-stim nootropic even though the total milligrams are hidden.

Is Mentality more of an energy product or a true nootropic?

It is both, but the experience is likely led by the stimulant system first. The formula combines caffeine sources, TeaCrine®, and theobromine for energy, then layers in L-theanine, Alpha-GPC, choline bitartrate, bacopa, rhodiola, ginseng, ginkgo, gotu kola, and lion’s mane for broader cognitive support.

What does L-theanine do in this formula?

L-theanine is included to improve the quality of the stimulant experience. Research shows caffeine plus theanine can improve attention and reduce distractibility better than caffeine alone, which is why this pairing is so common in better-designed focus formulas.

Can I take Mentality before training?

Yes, especially if you use nootropics to enhance focus, drive, and session intensity. The Alpha-GPC, choline bitartrate, caffeine system, and TeaCrine® make it a reasonable pre-training focus formula, but you should avoid stacking it with another full-stim pre-workout unless you know your tolerance very well.

Why does the label use proprietary blends?

The proprietary blends disclose the total weight of grouped ingredients but not the individual amounts inside each blend. That means you know what is present, but you cannot verify whether key actives like rhodiola, bacopa, Alpha-GPC, or TeaCrine® are present at research-aligned doses.

Is the bacopa in Mentality a quality extract?

Yes, the bacopa is standardized to 50% bacosides, which is a meaningful quality marker. The limitation is that the exact milligram amount is not disclosed, so the extract quality is a plus, but the dose remains uncertain.

What should I stack with Mentality for a more complete performance setup?

A daily creatine monohydrate product is an excellent addition because it supports ATP regeneration and cognitive resilience without adding more stimulant load. Many users would also benefit from electrolytes or hydration support, especially if they use Mentality pre-workout or early in the day.

Is Mentality a good beginner nootropic?

Not usually. The undisclosed stimulant total and the presence of multiple caffeine sources, TeaCrine®, theobromine, guarana, and N-methyl tyramine make it more appropriate for users with at least moderate stimulant experience.

Will I feel the bacopa, lion’s mane, and adaptogens right away?

Not in the same way you feel caffeine. The acute effects will come mostly from the stimulant system and cholinergic ingredients, while bacopa, rhodiola, ginseng, and lion’s mane are better thought of as ingredients with more value over consistent use.

Can I use Mentality every day?

You can, but daily stimulant use can still lead to tolerance over time. If you use it every day, pay attention to sleep quality, overall caffeine intake, and whether you need occasional lower-stim days to keep the formula feeling effective.

Not a bad start

3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.

Right from the start, I was drawn in by the prologue!!!
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Queen of Roses (Blood of a Fae #1) by Briar Boleyn Genre General Fiction ( Adult), Romance, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Dark Romance “More primordial than the stars. My name was on his lips as he promised unspeakable darkness to any who came between us.” Right from the start, I was drawn in by the prologue!!! I’m a big fan of “touch her, and you die” vibes, but I mean, what’s also not to love about a unique Arthurian retelling with gender twists, a treacherous royal court, a dangerous quest, magical Fae & mystical monsters, entwined with a bit of spice! Morgan, Princess of Pendrath and true heir to the throne has spent most of her life dimming her light to feel safe and to make others comfortable. She is treated as an outcast in the court and repressed by her family due to the blood of the Fae within her and forced to join the Temple of the Three as a priestess in training to one day replace Merlin. Her brother, King Arthur, who reminds me of Joffrey from Game of Thrones, later tells her that he has other plans and offers her a choice of the Temple or to marry her off for political gain, unless… that is, she can journey through the great unknown and return with a long-lost fae weapon with enchanted powers known as Excalibur. Her quest begins with a roguish crew that includes the mysterious, arrogant, and heart-tuggingly handsome Captain of the Royal Guard, Kairos Draven, whom she can’t decide if she wants to stab or indulge in pleasure with. Along the way are plenty of surprises, mystical creatures, and betrayal, all while Morgan uncovers more of the truth about herself and who she can trust. This book had intriguing storylines and lovable characters that kept me turning pages and wanting more. I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds and comes together in book 2, Court of Claws, which I just started reading!! Read if you’re into- Dark Fantasy/Romance Slow–Burn Question Everything Magic and Action Fae Arthurian Legend Stabby/Broken FFC Morally Gray MMC Forced Proximity Queen of Roses is perfect for Holly Black, Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Sarah J. Maas fans. Please check the trigger warnings page in the table of contents before reading this book.

3.5 stars, A little boring to say the least.
Format: Kindle
Wow so I'm not sure where to begin on this one. This was a very different take on the legend of Arthur and Excalibur. This is told from the point of view of Morgan the sister of Arthur. Honestly the first 50% of this book is world building and character building which unfortunately was super boring for me. Morgan to me was a female MC that had a hard time in believing in herself. Sometimes taking too long to understand exactly what was going on around her. Draven was also a different male MC, like I couldn't put my finger on him and what he was all about. It was not until the last 10% of the book did we get some answers on the mystery that is Draven. The other 50% of the book centered around this big journey with everyone having a different motive. We see a spark of magic around this time that had me excited but then we never expanded upon that and what it could mean for the female MC. I feel like I want to read the second book just to see where this goes, but the spice was probably a 2 out of 5. Side characters are ok, Lancelet was fun but I almost felt like I wanted more.

A bewitching retelling of Arthurian legend!
Format: Kindle
In a land where the Fae have nearly become only a legend and those who still posses even a morsel of the blood are few and far between, Morgan finds herself cast aside by most of society due to her rumored half-Fae lineage, including her brother, King Arthur. With the kingdom at the brink of war, Arthur entrusts her with a quest to retrieve a Fae weapon of legendary power: the sword of Perun, Excalibur. Accompanied by men she loathes, Captain Kairos Draven and Ragnar Whitehorn, she embarks on her long and unbeknownst perilous journey, only to find that things she once believed to be myth are in fact very real. With devastating twists, omitted truths, witty banter and fierce action, Queen of Roses leaves you begging to know more about the secrets of Aercanum! Wow, wow, wow! Going into this story, I did not realize that it was going to be a retelling of Arthurian legend, especially not one with a fantastical twist! The unique spin almost gave me The Witcher vibes and I think adding Fae into the mix was quite interesting. I knew the basics of the legend but after reading this book, it has piqued my interest and makes me want to learn more about it. My attention was snatched as soon as I finished the prologue and I knew that I was going to devour this story. I truly enjoyed the gender swaps and even how Arthur was portrayed as villainous. Morgan’s past and even her parts of her present is absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her at times. I can only recall one other book that made me hate characters the way I despised Florian and Arthur, leaving me with my blood boiling and feeling disgusted. Even after finishing the book, Draven is still a mystery to me and I cannot figure out how to feel about him. I guess they just means that the author did an excellent job at conveying each character’s persona! The rich world building and imagery made it easy for me to visualize the places that the group visited along their journey. I am truly engulfed in this story and I cannot wait to see wait fate awaits Morgan and how the Fae will be even more incorporated in the next book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
