The Maxon CP-101 is a vintage Japanese guitar effects pedal from the early 1980s made in Japan, designed as a transparent, low-noise compressor. It features two intuitive knobs — Sustain (controls how long the compression holds) and Level (adjusts output volume) — plus a “Normal/Effect” footswitch and LED indicator. 

This unit was built between 1982-1984. It uses the CA3080 DIP and has the “caramel switch” coloured footswitch.

Condition:

 

  • This is a used unit.

  • This unit shows obvious signs of wear on the metal chassis. This includes many marks and nicks. The wear does not detract from its use or functions, it is still a great sounding vintage piece.

  • This unit has been thoroughly tested. We can confirm it is 100% functional. All controls work as they should. Even though it doesn't look perfect, it sounds really good!!

  • This pedal can be powered on with a 9V battery or 9V negative centre power supply. Neither of these are included in the sale.

  • This sale is for the pedal only. Nothing else is included.

These are effective at refreshing your disposal. When I am done cleaning up my kitchen I put 2 drops in the disposal side of my sink and briefly pulse the disposal to break open the drop. Don't run any water as this will wash away the drop and the fresh orange scent.
