Victron MIDI Fuse 50A/58V: Precision Circuit Protection for 48V DC Systems

Engineered for Reliable Overcurrent Protection in Demanding Environments

The Victron MIDI fuse 50A/58V delivers robust overcurrent protection for 48V DC electrical systems, safeguarding sensitive electronics and power distribution components from damage caused by short circuits or overloads. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of off-grid solar installations, marine electrical panels, and vehicle-based power systems, this fuse provides a critical layer of defence that helps prevent costly downtime and equipment failure.

Unlike generic automotive fuses that may struggle with sustained DC loads or exhibit inconsistent trip characteristics, the Victron MIDI fuse is purpose-built for low-voltage DC applications up to 58V. Its precise, time-current melting curve ensures predictable interruption of fault currents, reducing the risk of nuisance blowing while maintaining fast response to genuine overcurrent events. This reliability is essential in systems where battery banks, inverters, and charge controllers must operate continuously without interruption.

Low Voltage Drop for Maximum System Efficiency

Every millivolt lost across a fuse translates to wasted energy and reduced performance in a DC system. The Victron MIDI fuse 50A/58V features an exceptionally low voltage drop of 70 mV at rated current, minimising power dissipation and heat generation. This not only improves overall system efficiency but also reduces thermal stress on surrounding components, contributing to longer service life for your entire electrical installation.

The fuse's low cold resistance of 0.90 mΩ further enhances its performance, ensuring that it introduces minimal impedance into the circuit under normal operating conditions. This is particularly beneficial in solar charging systems where every watt of harvested energy counts, and in inverter circuits where voltage sag can impact appliance performance.

Compact, Standardised Form Factor for Easy Integration

With its industry-standard MIDI footprint, this fuse integrates seamlessly into Victron fuse holders and distribution blocks, as well as many third-party solutions. The compact dimensions allow for high-density mounting in electrical enclosures, making it ideal for space-constrained installations such as camper trailers, 4WD dual-battery setups, and marine switchboards.

Standardised M5 mounting holes (approx. 5 mm diameter) ensure secure, low-resistance connections when paired with appropriate ring terminals. The tin-plated copper terminals resist corrosion, maintaining reliable conductivity even in humid or salt-laden environments.

Key Features

  • Rated 50A at 58V DC, specifically suited for 48V nominal battery systems
  • Low voltage drop (70 mV) and cold resistance (0.90 mΩ) for minimal power loss
  • Compact MIDI form factor for space-efficient installation
  • Tin-plated copper terminals for corrosion resistance
  • Clear 50A amperage rating stamp for easy identification during maintenance
  • Transparent inspection window to visually confirm fuse status

Built for the Real World

Victron MIDI fuses are engineered to withstand the vibration, temperature fluctuations, and humidity commonly encountered in mobile and off-grid applications. The robust construction and quality materials reduce the risk of premature failure that can plague lower-grade fuses, giving you confidence that your system remains protected when it matters most.

By choosing a Victron MIDI fuse, you mitigate the risk of catastrophic damage to expensive components such as inverters, battery management systems, and DC-DC converters. The precise protection characteristics help avoid the cascading failures that can occur when a fuse fails to clear a fault quickly and cleanly.

Ideal Applications

  • Battery bank main circuit protection in off-grid solar systems
  • Inverter DC input protection
  • DC-DC converter and battery charger circuits
  • Marine DC distribution panels
  • 4WD and caravan auxiliary power systems

Protect your investment with the precision and reliability of Victron MIDI fuses. Whether you're building a new off-grid power system or maintaining an existing installation, these fuses provide the dependable overcurrent protection your equipment deserves.

A Fox Amongst the Wolves
Format: Kindle
Collette has been forgotten about her whole life. Her parents don't bother with her, others don't try either once they realize she uses sign language to speak, and she's a shifter surrounded by humans that hate her kind. On her 18th birthday, she runs away. She takes the train and then bus wherever it can get her as far from home as possible. A missed bus brings her and a mysterious but kind man to Willowdale. What happens next is a story of fated mates, shifters, magic, new best friends and found family, and a stolen child. I'm sad this was a shorter read but only because of how much I loved Collette, Dylan, Hunter, Luca, Lena, and the others in their community. I love how detailed the characters are even with the shorter story. You can tell their characteristics easily, and the lead in to book two is done so well. I loved this insta love book with just the right amount of drama.

An easy PNR book to cure book hangovers.....
Format: Kindle
I enjoyed this as a short story; but nothing truly pulled me into this world to want to keep reading each story. I can sense the overarching villain arc w/ the HAF; yet it still wasn't enough to capture me long-term. It felt like too much focus was placed on progressing the romance part that everything else took a non-existent back seat. This did work well for my intentions of getting over a book-hangover slump. So there's that lol. A Tip to overcome a PNR book hangover, from a wonderful series or novel......read a trope-y, lighthearted, PNR that is easily predictable but adorable. Like this book. Honestly, I'm rarely into short stories that are turned into a ridiculous amount of books on different PNR characters. So I'm not the best at judging the merits of these stories. I'm a long-haul type of reader that lives for a series surrounding 1 lead female character & her harem (or singular partner). Occassionally, I'll find a series of short stories that are interesting enough to finish or pull me in completely. The rarity of that is countable on 1.5 hands, compared to the literal hundreds of fiction books I've read lol. With all of that, I will say this was fun because of the FMC's difficulties growing up & how that made her strong, the end reveals of her life, & the cute Epilogues. I never felt truly connected to any of the characters; but I did feel slightly compelled to just finish it to see how plot points would end. Unfortunately, due to a lack of character backstory explanations, I still don't understand Collete's "magic". Very little time was given to flesh out the backstory of the world this occurs in. I couldn't even guess what type of magic occurs in this world, aside from what little was revealed. A random scene sticks out to me...... we're introduced to a new magic type, in passing. No dialogue to expand. No hint at anything really. Then the scene moves on. That moment felt pointless to even mention, afterwards. It felt like the author was more concerned w/ romance than storyline. This is a common issue I have w/ short stories....authors write them for whatever reason; but too often it's an "either or" theme.....EITHER the author is writing ONLY for romance w/ storyline taking a minor role OR writing ONLY for storyline w/ some romance that ends up feeling forced. As I mentioned earlier, only a handful of short stories series have ever had a balance of both sides, for me, that I wanted to read all of them.

Great RH shapeshifting romance!
Format: Kindle
Oh my gosh, I adored this book! Voiceless is set in a blended reality with humans, witches, and shapeshifters of all kinds, but with a significant lack of acceptance from the humans that results in violence. And I am sucker for fated-mates/insta-connection and you get that in heaps and bounds in Voiceless! Colette’s introduction to the supernatural world added some challenges on top of not being able to effectively communicate with those around her. I enjoyed the overall plot; that there was danger and confrontation and resolution, albeit not nearly as much as I wanted. Voiceless is a short read and things escalate at a fast pace and a resolution is reached just as quickly. As a result, I think we miss out a bit on relationship and character development that we could’ve had if the book was little longer. While this is a RH/why-choose, most, if not all of the spice, is exclusively MF.

Cute
Format: Kindle
Very insta-love, but also cute with likable characters. The plot was good, though lacking in depth. The spice was fairly abrupt and lack-luster. Am enjoyable read, overall.

Another great story from this author!
Format: Kindle
I absolutely loved this book. Colette’s story was so sad yet sweet in the sense that yes she ran away from her controlling parents after hearing about arrangements being made for her. But sweet because fate was working in her favor because she ran into one of her mates on the bus. Turns out she had two more back in the town she was heading for. Dylan, Luca, & Hunter turned out to be exactly what Colette needed because the ease with which she felt comfortable around was just perfect. This was a fast burn with a pretty quick paced story as well, especially at towards the end, it all picked up pretty quickly towards the end. I absolutely loved the sweet factor & the epilogues were perfect. Amazing job!
