The Sacred Heart is one of the most common motifs in religious folk art created in Mexico.

This art work is also called ‘little tin miracles’ symbolising good wishes and prayers and are the most common offering as a reminder of a special need, or as a “thank you” for answering a prayer. They’re expertly cut, punched and crafted by artisans in Oaxaca.

The heart figure symbolises a healthy heart, bringing passion to your life. Nowadays, they’re used as decoration that reflects authenticity with vibrant colours that sets this traditional symbol into new contexts with a personal interpretation and meaning.
