The Mackie SRT212 12” 1600W Professional Powered Loudspeaker is designed for real-world working musicians, DJs, events, venues, and beyond. The latest acoustic processing technology, powerful amplifiers, and the ultra-versatile SRT Mix Control mean easy setup, incredible sound, and unbeatable reliability. Built-Like-A-Tank construction features rugged molded cabinets and tough steel grilles that are built to last. As the larger gigs come rolling in, your audience gets bigger, and your needs demand better sound and flexibility, SRT is YOUR Next Big Thing.

1600W CLASS-D Amplifiers

SRT Series Loudspeakers equipped with our most rock-solid amplifier platform ever for better performance across the board than any other loudspeaker in its class. Ultra-efficient power combined with sophisticated protection and monitoring makes SRT the ultimate workhorse.

Advanced Impulse DSP - Proprietary Acoustic Tuning

Years of audio nerds tweaking settings and lugging around test equipment has paid off, and you get to reap the benefits. With our Advanced Impulse DSP, muddy midrange, harsh highs, and sloppy bass simply do not exist with these speakers. Not only does SRT sound incredible directly in front of them on-axis, they sound just as good all the way to the edge of their coverage, unlike other typical loudspeakers.

SRT MIX Control – 4-Channel Digital Mixer with Bluetooth

Equipped with a full-color display, settings, and adjustments are clear and easy to see. The main window displays input and output levels. Easily dive into channel and system settings for current voicing, EQ, alignment delay settings, and more all at a glance. Want access to quick adjustments on the fly? Download the SRT Connect app for complete wireless control from your phone. Bluetooth connectivity means you can stream to a pair of SRT Series speakers for an extremely quick and easy music playback rig.

Application Based Voicing Modes

Adapting your system to your specific needs and where it is all happening is crucial to achieving the best sound possible. Within SRT Mix Control, you get unique voicing modes that will each apply a preset response curve making the speaker optimized for that use. This offers even deeper optimization which can all be controlled directly on the speaker or via the SRT Connect app.

Transparent System Limiting and Protection

A dedicated processing module monitors and protects the amplifier in real-time. Sound quality and tonal balance is maintained even under heavy limiting. Utilizing powerful multi-band compression, the amplifier can target specific frequency ranges to prevent the system from being overloaded rather than turn everything down at the expense of overall output.

Versatile configuration options

A dual-angled cabinet design allows for use as a high-performance floor monitor. Dual angle pole-mount provides optimal coverage and minimal reflections in most venues; a 7-degree downward tilt is perfect for when the speakers are on elevated stages. M10 fly points for professional installation.

Great photo essay, history of aviation and space
i'm an engineer- worked rocket motors, and various satellite programs. this book was recommended by associate after visiting the museum at Langley. The pics are super, with short descriptions, and moderate on the tech. It's an amazing pulse of this wild history, and mostly is from America's lineage. St. Louis, Mercury, Atlas, and up to current Shuttle. There's also the SST, and unique turn of the century early birds. A fine read to be shared with a youngster (my son 10, digs it), or for the history or engineering buff. amazon has it cheaper than at the museum.

Essential reading for PowerPoint presenters.
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Cliff shows details how to improve our PowerPoint presentations. He gives concrete and simple steps to transform a message into a targeted presentation. All of us have suffered from presenters who went over their allotted time because they had vital information to give us, yet we still didn't know their main point. Many have seen slide decks burdened with dozens of bullet points. Did the volume of points yield more clarity or did they dull our ability to focus on the message? Probably not. Read Cliff's book. Follow his method and you'll be a more effective presenter.

Useful with some scientific corroboration
Format: Paperback
Worth it as a primer to slide content and how it inter-relates to the delivery when giving a presentation. Very slightly laboured, like most TV documentaries nowadays - you feel they could move a bit faster (...yeah we got it the first time).

Simple and streamlined to meet anyone's needs
Format: Paperback
This book rocks! It provide a simple and structured way to define, develop and deliver a "Kick Ass" presentation that you can project or just use from the podium. It bring the audio and visual together to compliment a story to be shared. It has taken the hassel factor out of designing a presentation for anyone on any subject. Thank you!

Lasting value but degraded presentation
Format: Paperback
I've been a BBP fan since the first edition in 2005. The second edition in 2007 was a significant update and refinement. The latest, 2011 edition, is not worth buying if you already have the second edition -- the information is essentially the same but the 2011 is printed on cheap paper and the contrast between text and background for most of the illustrations is lousy, e.g. black text on a dark grey background, white text on a light grey background. I found it very difficult to read. The online version (O'Reilly Safari Books OnLine) is slightly better because it allows you to magnify the low contrast images which makes them slightly more legible. Thankfully, access to the online version is included with the ink-on-paper book free via a scratch-off, lottery ticket-type insert at the back of the book. If I had to do it again, I'd skip the paper book from Amazon and just purchase electronic access via O'Reilly. This version is more legible and you can print important pages that you might want hard copies of to highlight, mark-up, etc.
