The wool shows some moth tracking, but no moth damage in the form of holes. The dark green wool band is in very good condition. This is piped in red piping that is still bright in color and shows only slight moth tracking. The brushed aluminum Heer eagle and wreath retain their finish. The black and red cockade is in place

German WWII NAMED Army Artillery Enlisted Man’s Visor Cap-This is a nice war time example. This is produced in green tricot wool. The wool shows some moth tracking, but no moth damage in the form of holes. The dark green wool band is in very good condition. This is piped in red piping that is still bright in color and shows only slight moth tracking. The brushed aluminum Heer eagle and wreath retain their finish. The black and red cockade is in place and looks very good. The black patent leather chinstrap has lost some of its shine but is in good condition. The black vulkanfibre visor cap is also very good, there are some small marks, caused by the rubbing of the chinstrap, but this is too be expected. The underside of the visor is brown and crosshatched. The ersatz sweatband is in place and still soft and supple. It shows wear from general use. The underside is stamped for the maker Clemens Wagner with the date 1938. The moisture shield is in place with the size 56 ½ stamped on it. Next to this is a tag with what we believe to be the owner’s name Wm Kramer. This cap has an excellent shape and is in very good condition overall.
