Met het nieuwe Florence-model brengt Sandberg een indrukwekkend eerbetoon aan de moddervette bas-sounds uit de seventies. De Sandberg Florence is een retro, rechtdoorzee shortscale bas met een enkele Power Humbucker. De elzen body in combinatie met de geschroefde mahonie hals zorgen voor een fijne tonale balans. De controls zijn eenvoudig: je hebt een volume- en toonregelaar, met een extra push/pull functie voor twee verschillende tone-cuts. Op deze manier werkt de Florence ideaal samen met elke versterker, of je nu - bijvoorbeeld - een zompige Ampeg of een puntige Eich amp gebruikt. De enkele Power Humbucker zit precies in de "sweet spot" op de body voor een maximale sustain. Zoals elke Sandberg wordt de Florence geleverd inclusief Gigbag.
