5g Creatine, 2g Betaine, elevATP®—daily strength without stimulants.

Dark Labs Alpha Creatine isn't some basic creatine with a cool label. It's a straight-up, no-stim formula for performance and recovery. Built on 5,000mg creatine monohydrate, it adds betaine, ornithine, elevATP®, hydrolysed fava bean protein, and some sodium to help with the real demands of hard training. The idea is simple: ramp up your phosphocreatine levels, keep cells hydrated and powerful, boost ATP another way, and support recovery so it's your go-to daily supplement, not just creatine alone.

At the heart is 5g creatine monohydrate. That's the standard dose backed by tons of studies for building strength, power, more reps, lean muscle, and better repeat high-intensity work. Creatine boosts phosphocreatine in your muscles, which helps remake ATP fast during intense bursts. In the gym, that means steadier force, holding onto reps better, and slow gains in strength with regular use.

2,000mg betaine anhydrous is a solid dose. It matches what you see in performance studies for power, endurance, and cell hydration. Betaine acts as an osmolyte—something that helps cells balance fluids—and it donates methyl groups for metabolism. You'll feel it as tougher training sessions and muscles that feel fuller, not like a stim buzz.

2,000mg L-ornithine HCl is in there for recovery and fighting fatigue. Ornithine helps in the urea cycle, clearing out ammonia from tough workouts. Ammonia builds up and makes you tired, especially in long sessions.

Dark Labs Alpha Cr by Dark Labs contains 180mg Sodium, a standard dose for muscle protein synthesis.

Key Highlights

  • 5,000mg Creatine Monohydrate — this is the real deal maintenance dose, not just a tiny bit for show. Creatine boosts phosphocreatine in your muscles so you remake ATP quicker in high-intensity stuff, making it the top pick for strength, power, and more reps.
  • 2,000mg Betaine Anhydrous — a legit dose that lines up with what studies use for performance. Betaine helps as an osmolyte and methyl donor, keeping cells hydrated, boosting power, and helping you push through tough training.
  • 150mg elevATP® — this patented ingredient sets it apart from plain creatine. It doesn't dump unstable ATP in your mouth; it helps your body make more of its own for consistent training energy.
  • 2,000mg L-Ornithine HCl — added for something most creatines skip: handling fatigue and recovery. Ornithine works in the urea cycle to clear ammonia from hard sessions, which matters for long, draining workouts.
  • 2,400mg Hydrolysed Fava Bean Protein — not some random protein; it's hydrolyzed for quick absorption, making it a smart add for performance and recovery, not just basic nutrition.
  • 180mg Sodium from Pink Himalayan Sea Salt — a smart amount to help with fluids, muscle work, and nerves. It teams up great with creatine and betaine for better hydration and cell volume.
  • Stim-free on purpose — this is your everyday performance booster, not a caffeine-loaded pre-workout pretending to be for strength. Take it anytime without building tolerance or hurting sleep.
  • Full label transparency — every ingredient and dose is right there. In a world of shady blends and weak add-ons, this lets you check it against real research.

Who Is This For?

  • Lifters on 3-5 day hypertrophy plans wanting more than basic creatine. 5g covers strength basics, 2g betaine and 150mg elevATP® make it complete for volume work.
  • Power builders chasing max strength and good reps. Creatine keeps force up, betaine and sodium help hydration and durability in tough sessions.
  • Combat or field athletes needing repeat power without stims. Stim-free means daily use without weigh-in, late training, or sleep issues.
  • Evening gym folks who want boost but skip late caffeine. Gives creatine, betaine, elevATP® base without stims messing recovery.
  • People with a separate pre who don't want extra caffeine or pumps. Layers well, focusing on creatine, ATP, hydration, recovery—not stims.
  • Hard trainers in build phases where workouts drag late. Ornithine HCl helps fatigue and recovery, creatine and betaine keep output going.

How to Use

Take 1 full scoop daily. Gym days: 20-45 minutes before in 10-12 ounces water to match hydration support and keep creatine consistent. Off days: anytime you remember—consistency beats timing for saturation. If aminos bother your gut, start half scoop for a few days, then full. Use a shaker; creatine and hydrolyzed mix better shaken. Empty stomach or with food—if sensitive, food helps. Stacks with pre-workouts, electrolytes, carbs, or protein, but no extra creatine needed—it's already 5g. No cycling. Store sealed, cool, dry, away from moisture.

What to Expect

First 0-10 minutes: mostly taste and some hydration feel, no rush since it's stim-free. 10-30 minutes: no stim kick, but pre-workout it can make you feel ready and less blah from the sodium, betaine, and water. 30-90 minutes: shines in the workout if you're consistent—sets repeat better, power holds, output stays strong later on. Days 1-7: creatine starts loading, changes are subtle. Weeks 2-4: saturation hits, you notice better reps, steady strength, fuller muscles, less weekly fade. No stims mean it's smooth and easy to stack.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much creatine is in Dark Labs Alpha Creatine per serving?

Each scoop provides 5,000mg of creatine monohydrate, which is the standard clinical maintenance dose used in sports nutrition. That is enough for most users to cover their full daily creatine intake without needing a second creatine product.

Is Dark Labs Alpha Creatine a pre-workout?

Not in the stimulant-heavy sense. It is better described as a stim-free daily strength and performance formula built around 5g creatine monohydrate, 2g betaine anhydrous, 2g L-ornithine HCl, 2.4g hydrolysed fava bean protein, and 150mg elevATP®.

Does Alpha Creatine contain caffeine or stimulants?

No. Despite a metadata inconsistency in the source file, the disclosed formula contains no caffeine and no stimulant ingredients. This is a stim-free product designed for daily use and easy stacking.

When should I take Dark Labs Alpha Creatine?

Use 1 scoop daily. On training days, 20-45 minutes before training is the most practical option, while on rest days any consistent time works because creatine’s benefits come from saturation over time rather than an acute pre-workout effect.

What does the 2,000mg betaine anhydrous do in this formula?

Betaine acts as an osmolyte and methyl donor, helping support cellular hydration, power output, and training volume. At 2g, it is meaningfully dosed and adds more performance depth than a standalone creatine product.

Why is elevATP® included if creatine already supports ATP?

Creatine helps recycle ATP rapidly through the phosphocreatine system during high-intensity efforts. elevATP® is included to support endogenous ATP production through a different pathway, so the formula attacks cellular energy from more than one angle.

What is the purpose of L-ornithine HCl at 2,000mg?

Ornithine is included for fatigue and recovery support. It participates in the urea cycle and helps process ammonia generated during hard exercise, which makes it a rational add-on for long sessions and high-volume training blocks.

Can I stack Alpha Creatine with my regular pre-workout?

Yes, and that is one of its strengths. Because Alpha Creatine is stim-free and already covers your 5g creatine dose, it layers well with caffeinated pre-workouts, pump formulas, electrolytes, or carb powders without creating unnecessary stimulant overlap.

Do I need to load this product?

You do not need to do a separate loading phase. Taking 1 scoop daily will gradually saturate creatine stores over time, though some users prefer a traditional loading approach with standalone creatine; for most people, steady daily use is the simplest and most sustainable plan.

Is this better than plain creatine monohydrate?

If you only want the lowest-complexity creatine option, plain monohydrate is still excellent. Alpha Creatine becomes the better choice when you want the same 5g creatine dose plus 2g betaine, 150mg elevATP®, 2g ornithine, sodium, and hydrolysed fava bean protein for a broader performance-and-recovery effect.

Fallen Angels, fae, vampires, oh my!
Format: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 | Spice: 2 (but a good slow-burn) • Main Characters: Huntyr and Wolf • I couldn’t wait to read this book; there was so much hype about it! And there was no doubt why. I fell in love with the characters and the plot itself. This book is mainly plot driven more than friction driven but it’s easy to follow along with. The characters are fun, easily understood. The main setting is at an academy where both the main characters are going through trials and building strength for the final test, The Transcendent. There are fantastic side characters as well. I loved the camaraderie between Huntyr and her friends. But we don’t like Lanson. 😆 We do have some plot twists that come into play throughout the book. Secrets and betrayal to be seen. I did adore Wolf and Huntyr’s relationship. It was a classic slow burn trope. They didn’t hit it off fast, but in time their feelings grew. I loved their banter, so sexy. Wolf is your next book boyfriend; Huntyr is your next vampire assassin independent bad-a*s female. Themes include loyalty, trust, self-discovery, a true slow burn romance. Side note: book ends on a angsty cliffhanger! • Emily, thank you for writing this awesome novel and I cannot wait to devour Book 2, Blood So Brutal! 😍 • Happy reading, my lovelies! xo

“My heart bows to you and you only, Huntress.”
Format: Kindle
3.5 🌟 This book popped up in my KU recommended reading suggestions and the synopsis sounded like what I was in the mood for. I'm so glad I took a chance on it. I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about it and ended up really liking it. I love when this happens. The main characters are likeable and I easily found myself rooting for them. There is a mystery element to each of their backstories that I enjoyed watching unfold and can't wait to get more of. Wolf, in particular, has me fixated. Love him. I found this to be an entertaining, addictive read with a plot that moves along at a good pace. It reads so easily I found myself very reluctant to put it down. Lots of twists and turns and the angst is there. A good set up for the next book to come, for sure. My issues with this book....the dialogue feels a bit juvenile at times and there is a repetitive over use of a particular word phrasing that I found myself giving the ole eye-roll to. There are, without a doubt, some pretty cliche moments that gave me a bit of the cringe. I think this could've certainly 100% benefited from more depth regarding the world building. Perhaps the world building was sacrificed to keep the pacing quick? Just a guess. Also, the lack of consistency of character for the FMC was really evident and so she feels quite illogical at times. Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable read that hit the spot well enough for me. That ending certainly has me impatiently pining for book 2!

Interesting take on the genre
Format: Kindle
True rating: 3.25 ⭐️ I enjoyed the fresh take on the genre. The best way I could describe the setting and world is an apocalyptic dystopian version of Farie where vampires, fae, and angles struggle to survive in what is left of the world. It was definitely interesting throwing the academy/hunger games aspect into this world as well. Even though I guessed the final reveal early on in the book, I kept hoping I was wrong, and it would take a surprising turn. While the "plot twists" were a bit predictable to me, I still enjoyed the ride this book took me on. Another downfall for me was the plot holes in the world building... I.E. if society has fallen and the world is in the aftermath of war, how are there trains running around the world? Just to take young adults to the trials to get into the golden city? How is the train maintained, the tracks clear, etc? However, I did enjoy the FMC & MMC and thought they were fleshed out nicely. I also enjoyed the side characters but wish some were developed more like Ashalin (sp?). I do find myself rooting for the MCs to succeed and find happiness together, which is obviously an important aspect for romantasy. Overall, was this an earth-shattering, mind-bending, terrific piece of literature? No. But was it the worst thing I've read this year? Also, no. This book has, to me, the bones of a great read & just needs a bit more to push it from an alright book to a great book. Overall ratings: Plot- 3.5⭐️ World building 3⭐️ Spice 2.5 🌶🌶 Main characters 4 ⭐️ Supporting characters 3.5⭐️

great book
Format: Kindle
I am really excited to meet the author at the book retreat this month. I really enjoyed this world that she built and most of the female main character Huntress is so awesome. She goes through a lot in this book and the ending; wow! I wouldn't have even guessed. I highly recommend everyone to read this book. I have been so lucky this year that almost all the books I have read have been, so far, 5 out 5 stars.

Fallen for the Fallen Angel – A Guilty Pleasure Worth Every Page
Format: Kindle
There’s something deeply irresistible about a dark academia or trial-based setting, a brooding and arrogant fallen angel, and a fierce heroine with enough sass to go toe-to-toe with him. Wings So Wicked is exactly that kind of book—and I devoured it in just a couple of days. To be fair, the plot isn’t groundbreaking. If you’re looking for something fresh and innovative in terms of storyline, this might not be it. But if your reader heart beats faster at the mere mention of enemies-to-lovers, jealousy-fueled banter, magical trials, betrayals, and forbidden tension—you’ll feel right at home. It’s like catnip for those of us with this particular weakness. The chemistry between the leads could have used a slightly slower burn to make the tension sizzle longer, but I still found myself completely invested in their dynamic. There are moments and phrases that feel a bit cheesy or underdeveloped, but honestly? I didn’t care. The vibes were exactly what I wanted. This book isn’t trying to reinvent the genre—it’s here to give readers like me what we crave: high-stakes magical drama, angsty romance, and the thrill of watching a badass girl and her brooding counterpart clash and spark. If that sounds like your kind of story, Wings So Wicked will hit the mark. Here’s hoping Book 2 turns up the heat and keeps the magic alive.
