В військовій системі Гетьманщини наймані полки становили регулярне військо, яке підпорядковувалось безпосередньо Гетьману і були його особистою гвардією.

Публікуються реєстри (списки особового складу) трьох Компанійських полків: Карпа Часника, Василя Чуги, Андрія Ковбаси, Сердюцького полку Гаврила Бурляя, а також сотні Василя Родіоновича, яка на той час була виділена в окремий Компанійський полк, та їхніх підрозділів (Василя Йосифовича, Федора Нестеренка, Павла Неверовського), які квартирувалися окремішньо від своїх полків.
