Light: Astrophytum myriostigma loves plenty of bright, indirect light and can even tolerate some direct sun. A sunny windowsill is perfect. In lower light, it will grow more slowly but still remain healthy.
Water: This cactus prefers the “less is more” approach. Let the soil dry out completely before watering again. In summer, this might mean every 2–3 weeks, while in winter it may only need water once a month or less. Overwatering is the quickest way to harm it.
