Solid citrulline dose, NO3-T® nitrates, HydroMax® for hydration, no stimulants.

Core Nutritionals Pump is a straight-up stim-free pump and performance booster, not some pre-workout hiding behind a weak nitric oxide mix. It aims to make your training feel powerful with real blood flow boosts, better hydration inside your cells, tougher fatigue resistance, and sharper focus on your lifts. Instead of just one pump ingredient, it stacks a few that work together: citrulline for the arginine-nitric oxide path, nitrate-bound betaine for the nitrate-nitrite-NO path, glycerol for pulling in extra water and making cells swell, beta-alanine for buffering acid, alpha-GPC for power and focus, and VasoDrive-AP® for extra blood vessel support.

You get 6,000mg L-Citrulline, which is key because that's the dose range serious pump chasers go for. Citrulline turns into arginine in your kidneys better than taking arginine straight, so it reliably pumps up nitric oxide and blood flow. Studies show citrulline helps with blood vessels and workout performance, usually at 3-8g a day. At 6g, this hits the sweet spot for bigger pumps, better flow, and getting more oxygen and nutrients to your muscles.

Beta-alanine is at 3,200mg, the standard dose from research for boosting carnosine in your muscles over time. Carnosine buffers acid during tough sets, so you can push through the burn in high reps, quick rests, or back-to-back efforts. It's not an instant fix; it builds up. Day one, you might feel the tingle. Over weeks, you notice better volume handling and less drop-off in later sets.

Key Highlights

  • 6,000mg L-Citrulline gives you a real pump dose that works. It boosts arginine better than taking arginine alone, cranking up nitric oxide for blood flow that leads to fuller pumps and better oxygen to your muscles.
  • 3,200mg Beta-Alanine matches the daily dose from studies. This builds up carnosine in muscles over time, buffering acid so you delay that intense burn during repeated sets.
  • 2,500mg Betaine Nitrate as NO3-T® adds a second way to boost nitric oxide. Instead of just citrulline, it brings in nitrates for more complete blood flow and a stronger pump overall.
  • 2,000mg HydroMax® delivers real glycerol for hydration and making muscles swell. This creates that full, dense feel that blood flow alone doesn't quite hit.
  • 600mg Alpha GPC 50% provides 300mg active alpha-GPC to help with focus and power. You get better connection to your reps and sharper focus without any stims.
  • 254mg VasoDrive-AP® is a cool premium add-on you don't see in basic pump stuff. These peptides from casein help with blood vessels, taking this beyond your standard citrulline and glycerol mix.
  • 50mg AstraGin® is the usual dose for better absorption. Smart move in a stacked formula where getting everything in matters.
  • Full label disclosure, no prop blends, so you see every dose. In a market full of hidden amounts and weak claims, this transparency is a big win.

Who Is This For?

  • Mid-level to advanced bodybuilders doing hypertrophy work who want muscle fullness, better training feel, and mind-muscle link. 6g citrulline, 2.5g betaine nitrate, and 2g HydroMax® make high-volume days more fun and effective.
  • Folks training evenings who want pre-workout help without killing sleep. Stim-free, it boosts pump, focus, and endurance via blood flow, hydration, and neural stuff, not caffeine.
  • Athletes with a caffeine pre who want extra pump without more stims. This adds flow and performance without overlapping energy.
  • Strength folks in build-up phases needing help with repeats and short rests. 3.2g beta-alanine builds carnosine, alpha-GPC sharpens heavy lifts.
  • Physique chasers after veins and fullness in upper body, deloads, or pump finishers. Citrulline, nitrates, glycerol, VasoDrive-AP® deliver that tight, stretched feel.
  • Cross-trainers wanting muscle stamina without heart racing. Beta-alanine fights fatigue, glycerol and nitric oxide smooth out volume work.

How to Use

Mix 2 scoops in 14-20 ounces of water, drink 20-30 minutes pre-training. Gives nitric oxide, hydration, and alpha-GPC time to kick in for working sets. New to beta-alanine or glycerol? Start with 1 scoop to check tingles and water amount. More water usually tastes better and helps HydroMax® work right. Fine on empty stomach for fast action, or with a light meal if that powers your lifts. For stims, add your own caffeine instead of swapping for another pump that overlaps. Goes well with creatine monohydrate and electrolytes. Use steady for beta-alanine's buildup effect. Store sealed in cool, dry spot—glycerol powders hate moisture.

What to Expect

Minutes 0-10: drink settles, no stim kick. If you're sensitive to beta-alanine, tingles might start—it's your sign it's working. Minutes 10-20: flow ramps up, early sets go smoother, muscles start filling quicker. Minutes 20-40: peak time, where citrulline, nitrates, glycerol, and alpha-GPC make pump, rep feel, and momentum stand out. Minutes 40-90: stays steady, no caffeine crash. Days 1-7: quick pump and fullness, tingles if new to beta-alanine. Weeks 2-4: beta-alanine shines as carnosine builds, making volume and repeats easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Core Nutritionals Pump contain caffeine or other stimulants?

No. This formula is stim-free, so its effects come from blood-flow, hydration, and performance ingredients like 6g L-citrulline, 2.5g NO3-T® betaine nitrate, 2g HydroMax®, 3.2g beta-alanine, and 600mg alpha-GPC 50%. That makes it useful for late training sessions or for stacking with a separate stimulant product.

Is 6,000mg of L-citrulline enough for a real pump?

Yes. Six grams is widely considered a clinically relevant dose for pump formulas and sits within the common effective range used in research and high-end pre-workouts. It supports nitric oxide production through the arginine-NO pathway and is one of the main reasons this formula feels legitimate instead of decorative.

Why use both citrulline and NO3-T® betaine nitrate in the same formula?

Because they support nitric oxide through different mechanisms. Citrulline feeds the arginine-NO pathway, while nitrates support the nitrate-nitrite-NO pathway, so using both gives broader blood-flow support than relying on one pathway alone.

Will Core Nutritionals Pump make me tingle?

Possibly, yes. The formula contains 3.2g beta-alanine, which is the standard research-backed dose and commonly causes a harmless tingling sensation called paresthesia. Some people feel it strongly, others barely notice it, and it tends to become less novel over time.

How long does it take for the beta-alanine in this product to work?

Beta-alanine has both an immediate sensory effect and a longer-term performance effect. You may feel tingles on day one, but the real benefit comes from consistent daily use over several weeks as intramuscular carnosine levels increase.

What does HydroMax® add that citrulline alone does not?

HydroMax® is a glycerol ingredient, so it supports hyperhydration and cell volumization rather than nitric oxide directly. In real-world terms, it helps muscles hold more water and feel fuller, creating a denser pump than vasodilation alone.

Can I stack Core Nutritionals Pump with a caffeinated pre-workout?

Yes, and that is one of the best use cases for it. Because Pump contains no caffeine, it can be added to a simpler energy formula to increase blood flow, hydration, and endurance support without pushing stimulant intake even higher.

What does the 600mg Alpha GPC 50% actually provide?

It yields 300mg active alpha-GPC, since the raw material is standardized to 50%. That is a useful performance-focused cholinergic dose for supporting focus, neural drive, and mind-muscle connection in a stim-free format.

Is this just a cosmetic pump product?

No. The formula absolutely prioritizes pump, but the 3.2g beta-alanine and 300mg active alpha-GPC give it real performance value beyond the mirror. This is why it works well for volume, repeated efforts, and training quality, not just for arm-day photos.

Does VasoDrive-AP® matter at 254mg?

Yes, it is a meaningful premium inclusion. VasoDrive-AP® is a branded casein peptide ingredient used for vascular support, and its presence makes this formula more sophisticated than the average citrulline-plus-glycerol pump powder.

The Best for Athletics
Color: Black/Gray
This is a sleek, light wristwatch that will not weigh you down with its bulk. Forget the gigantic profile of a "survivalist" wristwatch. This unisex model is svelte and slim, not adding much to the wake you generate while swimming, or the swing of your arms while running, or the wind as it passes around your wrists and hands while you are speeding by on your racing bike. This is only 34mm across, by 35mm tall, by 11.5mm thick. The wristband is 13mm at its median working width. Timex styling cannot be beat, and neither is the resin-rubber-like material. I don't know about you, but the price is something I take a good look at. I want a watch that is reasonably priced and high-quality. I don't want to spend $200 to $1000 on a watch and worrying about being careful with it. If it gets smashed, it's only $30 to $50, not a big loss, and the quality is way better than what they were making in the 1980's. These watches are made for athletics and the real world.

Great watch, flimsy band
Color: Gray/Lilac
I bought this watch to replace a similar model because the band broke. I see this is a recurrent problem in many other reviews. However, I liked the watch enough to buy it again anyway. I found the new model easy to set, being fairly intuitive. So far it keeps perfect time. I use this watch mainly as a travel watch, and loved the dual time zone function. I am pleased that the newer model now has the ability to set 3 times zones instead of 2, which is an added bonus. The only con I see at this point is the flimsy strap. Unfortunately, the strap on this model is even thinner than on the previous one, and I wonder how long it will last. Also I wonder about the battery length. I think these watches may have been sitting around a long time. The setting showed 2012. I am afraid much of the battery life of the original battery may have already been used up and the battery may need replacing early. Only time will tell. The watch fits my small wrist fine and it is a little more attractive than the old model. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the band problem.

Fine for a man (with skinny wrists)
Color: Black/Gray, Color: Black/Gray
I have an older mens ironman which has gotten a little beat up and needs replacing. The band is much longer than I need. The metal clasp sits off-center on the underside of my wrist, closer to the part of my wrist which curves around to the front. The too-long strap sometimes flops around and catches on things. I couldn't find a smaller-band mens version, so I tried this "womens" watch (picking the most manly-looking one, of course). I like it better. The band fits my wrist much better, with the metal band in the middle and no flop. I also like that the watch is lighter and the face and band are smaller and less bulky, so it is less noticeable when I'm wearing it (cycling weight weenies will appreciate this). The face is still large enough to be easily legible and contains all of the same great features as my mens ironman watch, plus the newer versions now have an hourly chime, nice! Other info: my wrist is ~17.5cm or ~7.0" around. On this watch, I use the 6th out of 9 slots on the band. On my mens ironman, I use the 3rd out of 9 slots. Weight: this one = 28g, mens = 39g. Pics show comparison of my prior mens ironman with this new "womens" ironman. Photo order is confusing (couldn't figure out how to change that). They are: (1) side-by-side, mens on left, (2) mens band (wider and clasp is off-center on my wrist, end of band hangs over the edge of my wrist -- too long for me -- catches on things), (3) womens band (less wide, clasp is more centered on my wrist and end does hang over edge of my wrist), (3) womens watch (smaller, and looks new), and (5) mens watch, looking a little beat up.

Watch holds up in saltwater!
Color: Black/Gray
I bought this watch to use for my trip to the Galapagos Islands. I read two reviews that the watch does not hold up in salt water. I went snorkeling in the ocean 6 times, about 45 minutes each time. The watch did not leak. I did take precautions by keeping the watch under my rash guard and lowering myself slowly into the water. I also rinsed off my watch each time I snorkeled. I also bought this watch for the multi time zone feature by saving the time on the west coast, east coast and Galapagos time since I cannot change the time on my Fitbit until I land in an airport. I did not use any other features of the watch because I generally use my phone or Fitbit for an alarm or timer. The only complaint I have is that Timex now discourages changing the battery by the consumer. I changed the battery myself on my old Ironman watch. The new Ironman watch is fitted with triangular head screws. So I will have to purchase screwdrivers with triangular heads when it comes time to change the battery.
