The interRAI Home Care (HC) is designed to be a user-friendly, reliable, person-centered system that informs and guides comprehensive planning of care and services for elderly and disabled persons in community-based settings around the world. It focuses on the person's functioning and quality of life by assessing needs, strengths, and preferences. It also facilitates referrals when appropriate. When used on multiple occasions, it provides the basis for an outcome-based assessment of the person's response to care or services. The interRAI HC Assessment System can be used to assess persons with chronic needs for care, as well as with post-acute care needs (e.g., after hospitalization or in a hospital-at-home situation).

This book contains introductory material, an item-by-item guide to completing the assessment form, and the assessment form itself. The Canadian Edition has been customized for Canada, and the English language used in this publication is native to Canada.

Nice to have

Good: It's a good sized leather tray for the price. I'm able to keep my keys, wallet, tv remote, and watch flat within the box. There's not much else to say, it's a leather tray, it just... works. It gives me piece of mind knowing that I'll always find my accessories and belongings nicely tucked into this tray. Bad: I'm a fair reviewer, if a product wows me I'll say it wows me. This does not wow me in the craftsmanship department. The product I received contains the leather tray and a leather "floor". The leather floor is a separate piece that sits at the bottom of the tray which completes the complete leather look and provides some cushion to the things inside. This leather floor did not fit perfectly within the confines of the tray. One edge sits slightly tilted upward. To be completely fair, this is a very easy fix. I assumed that the stitching was simply applied too tightly and causes the floor to 'crunch'. I simply reduced the tightness of the stitching and it's perfect now. However, I cannot give it the full 5 star rating I wanted because not everyone is keen on solving issues like this. When people order things, I assume that most people would like a product that looks and feels great straight from the box. Verdict: Would still recommend. Despite this being a somewhat niche product it really helps with quality of life. I no longer have to go looking for my keys, wallet, or tv remote between my couch cushions. I know exactly where I'll find them every time and this saves an exponential amount of time in the mornings. As a bonus, the color is really nice and dark chocolate brown which goes with most things and leather is just a nice luxury to have.
