The SIGNUM subwoofers in the ESX range have now become an insider tip thanks to their qualities: They offer excellent sound, are of very high quality and are well equipped. This is also the case with the new SXE subwoofers, which develop their full performance especially in bass reflex boxes. A special highlight is the supplied, pre-assembled and extremely stable protective grille. It not only protects the membrane from damage, but also impresses visually with its hexagonal honeycomb pattern and curved structure. And fortunately, there is no need to spend extra on extra protective grilles, which makes the SXE woofers particularly attractive in terms of price.
The successful appearance of the SIGNUM SXE subwoofers is not only due to the pre-assembled protective grilles, the high-quality die-cast aluminum baskets also make a great impression. But they not only look good, they also significantly improve the stability of the construction. There are practically no vibrations in the material.
An important aspect of subwoofers is the drive, which is also very generous in the SXE models: All three sizes use heavy double magnets, which in turn drive long-wound double voice coils with 2+2 ohm impedance. The double voice coils used make the subwoofers very versatile: whether on a 1-ohm stable mono block or on conventional 2- or 4-channel power amplifiers, the woofers adapt very well to pretty much all amplifiers on the market thanks to their variable impedance.
