The Monuments Expansion adds an exciting new layer of exploration and strategy to your game! Each player gains an additional pawn—the Archaeologist—who travels across the growing landscape, uncovering ancient sites and building remarkable structures.

Use your Action Points (AP) each round to move your Archaeologist and construct Monuments at discovered archaeological sites.

You begin each round with 3 Action Points, and you can earn extra ones by skipping the use of a Placement Tile in your Active Zone.

You can spend 1 Action Point to:

• Move your Archaeologist to an adjacent tile connected by Highway

• Move between Stations connected by Railway if your Archaeologist is on a tile with a Station

• Place a Monument pawn (Arch, Temple, or Tower) on an empty Monument pinpoint when your Archaeologist is on that tile

Monuments don’t score immediately, but at the end of the game you earn:

• 1 point for each Monument pawn you have placed

• 3 bonus points for each complete set of three different Monuments (Arch, Temple, Tower)

The expansion also includes new Objective cards, adding fresh challenges and thematic goals—like having the Archaeologist near the Museum at game’s end or ensuring the Castle is surrounded by at least two Towers.

With new actions, objectives, and scoring opportunities, the Monuments Expansion transforms your landscape into a world of discovery, strategy, and ancient wonders.
