This unique coin shows 3 different images of commonly used working breeds in law enforcement: The Bloodhound, The German Shepherd, and the Labrador Retriever.
The images are shown on both sides of the coin. The front side shows the Metropolitan Police, D.C. badge with the inscription “Canine Corps” and “K-9”.
The reverse side features a dog’s paw print bisected by the thin blue line and the words “Service, Courage, and Integrity” curved around the periphery of the coin.
The coin measures 2 1/4" (55mm) tall by 2" (50mm) wide, 3D mold both sides, is dual toned (gold and silver) plated and is rendered in a total of five polished hard enamel colors.
