What Is the SM58 + X2u Best Suited To?

The SM58 is the most popular choice of vocal artists all over the world. Combined with the X2u, it can be easily connected directly to a computer without the need for any additional hardware. This makes it ideal for a home recording studio or recording on the move.

Will It Work with My Computer?

The X2u is compatible with Windows Vista, XP, 2000, 7, 8, 10, and Mac OS X (10.1 or later). It features a built-in headphone jack so that you can monitor the sound without the need for an additional sound card. It also includes an integrated pre-amp with mic gain control which allows you to control the signal strength.

And What About Latency?

Latency can be described as the time is taken between initiating a request on the computer and receiving the answer. You can expect zero-latency monitoring with the X2U. Zero-latency monitoring means real-time playback and multi-tracking without delay and the 16-bit/48 kHz sample rate provides better-than-CD-quality audio.

With Monitor Mix Control (which is featured on the X2U) you can blend the mic signal and audio playback as you desire.

What If I Need Phantom Power to Use the X2U With My Other Microphones in The Future?

The X2U is equipped with Phantom Power so you can also use your favorite condensers together with the X2U. Any XLR mic can be plugged directly into your computer using the X2U.

I have chronic neck pain. I am forever buying new pillows. Sometimes I think I found the perfect pillow but then three months later they’re losing their loft. I thought I would give these pillows to try since the stuffing is removable. Now these pillows are really oversized. To the point where I thought that they had sent me king-size pillows but I double checked the packaging and they were Queen. I ended up having to buy king-size pillowcases for them because they just barely fit in the queen size and the pillowcases would always end up pulling back from the edge. So that’s a negative one star there. Now I’ve been sleeping on these pillows for a while and they have held up well. I did end up removing some of the stuffing because it was just too much. I’m a side sleeper and when I use this pillow, it does a good job of keeping my neck in alignment. However, the pillow tends to migrate up as I sleep. Or I tend to slip down off the pillow, either or. So that’s why I’ve removed a second star. Maybe if I removed more stuffing that wouldn’t happen, but then I feel like the loft would be too little. I will say that these provide great support when sitting up in bed reading or watching TV. So would I buy them again? Probably not. Am I going to keep using them? Yes

Homelab adjustable shredded memory foam pillow hugs to the curve of my body so comfortably at night. Since I’m a side way sleeper, it’s really nice to have a pillow to prop up my knee on the side. The pillow arrives in a vacuum sealed bag, and it bounced into shape quickly. The pillow cover is made with a really nice material, it’s soft and thick and it stays cool. The shredded memory foam inside makes it so easy to adjust the firmness of the pillow. I think this pillow is made with high quality material and would recommend it to all the side sleepers.

So although the pillow is pictures as a head pillow, I actually use this as a body pillow because it's as long as one. That's fine by me because it's somewhat firm but gets soft as your body heat warms it up. I've been using it for a few weeks now and haven't noticed any bad misshaping or anything. It's shredded memory foam so like all shredded memory foam pillows you've got to fluff them a little.
