The slim, floor-standing Opticon 6 MK2 features the renowned Dali hybrid soft dome and ribbon tweeter along with dual 6.5" wood fibre drive units, this combination offers a level of performance normally associated with considerably more expensive speakers. Opticon 6 MK2 combines immense low frequency bandwidth, volume potential and dynamic accuracy with the extraordinary detail and clarity that arises from the use of a dedicated midrange driver. High frequencies from the hybrid tweeter are explicitly detailed and informative yet simultaneously smooth and endlessly listenable.

Dali Opticon Vokal MK2 Centre Speaker

The Opticon Vokal MK2 is specifically voiced to play the centre channel role, but at the same time it displays all the characteristic qualities that enable it to dovetail perfectly in a full Opticon MK2 audio visual system. The new Opticon Vokal MK2 hybrid tweeter marries a 29 mm soft dome with a custom 17 x 45 mm ribbon - mounted on a cast aluminium faceplate that incorporates dispersion control detailing. This combination offers the clarity, speed and dynamics of a dome tweeter, with the very high frequency detail and smooth finesse of a ribbon tweeter. Twin letterbox style reflex ports face forward to enable the Opticon Vokal MK2 to be enclosed in furniture units. Flaring is less critical on a system designed primarily for voice reproduction, which allows for slim reflex ports in a compact enclosure without affecting the performance.

The Opticon 1 MK2 is the most compact model in the Opticon Series. From the ultra-light soft-dome tweeter, to the wood-fibre woofer, and even the crossover, Dali's goals are low coloration and wide dispersion. The first is important because you want to hear your music the way it's supposed to sound, and the second because you're not always sitting in the acoustic ‘sweet spot’ and with wider dispersion you get better sound quality when listening off-axis.
