Ondanks de coating en de antislip valt dit tafelkleed soepel om de tafel, bovendien voelt het niet zo plakkering of klef aan als tafelzeil.

Oude liefde roest niet

15 jaar geleden begon ik mijn webwinkel met de prachtige Dots schalen van Paul Smith voor Stelton, broodplankjes van Remember én tafelkleden uit Denemarken. Afneembare tafelkleden, met een antislip onderkant. 

Lange levensduur

Met Hemelvaart gaan we altijd kamperen met vrienden. Veel vrienden, veel kinderen. Op een gegeven moment nam ik de afneembare Deense tafelkleden die ik zelf natuurlijk ook in de kast had liggen mee voor op de picknicktafels op de camping. En afgelopen week heb ik ze wéér gewassen. Je kunt ze natuurlijk afnemen met een vochtige doek, da's genoeg voor normaal gebruik ;-) Maar na het kampeer weekend gaan ze in de was. Daarna weer de kelder in bij de kampeerspullen, want mijn kinderen zijn deze tafelkleden ondertussen wel ontgroeid. Maar ik nog niet. Ik wilde ze ineens weer inkopen! 

Lange zoektocht, en kijk eens aan

Het was geen makkie om ze weer te vinden. Het bedrijf dat ze 15 jaar geleden aan me leverde is een paar jaar geleden failliet gegaan. Ik vond een andere leverancier en nu zijn ze onderweg uit Denemarken. Ik ben als een kind zo blij! 

Makkelijk schoon te houden dit tafelkleed

Deze prachtige katoenen tafelkleden worden voorzien van een acrylcoating. Deze zorgt ervoor dat je gemorste etenswaren en dranken er makkelijk met een natte doek vanaf kunt vegen. Zo hoeft het tafelkleed bijna nooit in de was! Mocht je het willen wassen, dan kan dat op 40 graden. Niet centrifugeren en hang het nat uit. Strijken kan eventueel op de bovenkant, maar met een droge theedoek ertussen. 

Antislip aan de onderzijde

De onderzijde is voorzien van een dunne antislip laag. Super slim vanwege het feit dat er voornamelijk kleine tafelkleedtrekkers aan met deze tafelkeden gedekte tafels plaatsnemen. Dit tafelkleed trek je niet zomaar als Hans Kazan onder je boterhambordje uit! 

Soms is een coating beter

Een linnen of katoenen tafelkleed is natuurlijk prachtig, maar voor buiten en voor sommige gelegenheden of met sommige tafelgenoten is een tafelkleed met een afneembare coating een veel fijnere oplossing. Beker met Chocomel omver? Jam of saus gemorst? Een nat lapje er overheen en klaar ben je!

Tips van Tiets om het kleed lang mooi te houden

Curry of tomatensaus gemorst? Meteen even een druppeltje onverdunde Dreft op de vlek en schoonvegen met een warme vaatdoek. Idem voor koffie en rode wijn. De rest van de vlekken veeg je er de volgende ochtend ook nog wel vanaf. Wasco en potlood lukt ook, Edding stiften niet. En deze tafelkleden niet permanent buiten laten liggen, dan krijg je het weer erin.

Nog een Tip van Tiets

Bij alle kinderfeestjes lagen deze tafelkleden bij ons op tafel. Jarenlang dezen ze perfect dienst wanneer weer koekjes gingen bakken en versieren. Deeg uitrollen, gewoon op het kleed; vormpjes steken ook. Tenslotte het geklieder met glazuur en bakken met decodips. Aan het eind van de middag een lapje erover, kleed even laten drogen en zo weer de kast in!

CHOKING HAZARD

CHOKING HAZARD: I purchased these bones for my small Yorki.. He ate the first two without incident; however, on the third bone he unfortunately choked. As the bones wear down, they become extremely stringy, and those strands do not appear to be digestible. I had to rush my dog to the emergency room, which cost $700. Three days later, he became even sicker because he was unable to pass the remaining portion of the bone still in his stomach. I then had to take him to his regular veterinarian, where he was admitted overnight and diagnosed with pancreatitis and a severely irritated gastrointestinal tract. This entire ordeal cost me over $1,500 in addition to the initial $700 emergency visit. I am grateful that my dog is now alive and well, but these bones pose a serious choking hazard and do not digest properly. I strongly caution other pet owners, especially those with small dogs.
