De uniek ontworpen buitenschaal van gerecycled EPS zorgt voor een uitstekende verspreiding van schokgolven bij impact, herverdeeld over het oppervlak van de helm in plaats van over de schedel. De flexibelere schuimvulling aan de binnenkant verhoogt het comfort en vermindert de pijn bij een lelijke klap aanzienlijk.

De Lunar maakt niet alleen gebruik van een schaal, spanband en vizier van gerecycled materiaal, wat de ecologische impact vermindert, maar zorgt ook voor een optimaal gezichtsveld tijdens het racen: je kunt er elk masker in zetten. I've had it less than a week and haven't had to wash it yet, but it seems like it will hold up well in the dishwasher and won't rust. Since I don't have any sponges on a handle, I may use the removable compartment for those (that you can see on the left in my photo) for other kitchen tools.
