Bedoeld om problemen te voorkomen met de automatische omschakeling van voedingsbronnen (standaard accessoire) op motorfietsen die niet in staat zijn om de spanningsniveaus boven de omschakelingsdrempel (13,5 V onder belasting) te houden.
Als het rechtstreeks op de motorfietsaccu is aangesloten, zal het constant stroom aftappen - de afvoer zal aanzienlijk zijn als je de CI Pad oplaadt op je motorfiets met de motor uit, wat kan leiden tot een volledig ontladen motorfietsaccu binnen enkele uren.
