Het pijlmotief dat Virgil Abloh introduceerde als signatuur van Off-White keert seizoen na seizoen terug, en op dit shirt verschijnt het in een nieuwe, vloeiende interpretatie. Dit Off-White T-shirt is gemaakt van 100% katoen in een relaxte, skate-geïnspireerde pasvorm met een geribbelde crewneck en korte mouwen. De stof heeft een stevige, iets zwaardere hand dan een standaard jersey-tee, wat het shirt beter laat vallen en hangen. Op de rug staat het Half Arrow-motief in een liquid ink-stijl zeefdruk: het pijlsymbool met een vloeiende, licht vervaagde afwerking die het grafische een organisch karakter geeft in plaats van een hard silhouet. De voorkant draagt een klein Off-White stamp-logo als enige markering aan de voorzijde. De uitvoering is zwart op zwart, waarbij de print zich pas onthult bij licht vanuit de juiste hoek. Daardoor leest dit Off-White T-shirt eerst als een clean zwart basisstuk en pas bij tweede blik als statement-tee.

De pasvorm is regular en ruim genoeg om los te dragen zonder echt oversized te zijn, en valt op maat. Voor de bedoelde relaxte skate-look houd je je gebruikelijke maat aan, terwijl wie het shirt strakker wil dragen een maat kleiner kan kiezen. Katoen van dit gewicht geeft nauwelijks mee maar zakt met dragen iets soepeler om de schouders. Wil je het echt oversized over een longsleeve laag dragen, dan neem je een maat groter. Houd er rekening mee dat zwaar katoen licht kan krimpen, dus was het shirt koud om de pasvorm te behouden.

Draag de Half Arrow tee met een wijde jeans of cargobroek en chunky sneakers voor een rustige skate-look waarin de toon-op-toon print het subtiele accent is. De zwart-op-zwart verhouding werkt het sterkst bij een verder teruggehouden outfit. Het is precies die verborgen, pas bij licht zichtbare print die dit shirt nu interessanter maakt dan een gewoon logo-T-shirt.

Off-White werd in 2013 opgericht door Virgil Abloh in Milaan als merk dat de ruimte tussen streetwear en high fashion bewust opzocht. Het pijlmotief is sindsdien het herkenningsteken van het label gebleven.

Mixes my protein shake powder

My husband and I both drink protein shakes daily. We have vortex mixers that work great, but they are plastic and getting old, and really needed to be replaced. Here is what I really like about it: It is powerful and mixes well; the frother is metal and not plastic; it cleans extremely easy; after making several shakes the battery has not died; can be used in glasses, coffee cups, even disposable cups (when we buy donut shop coffee); and I love the little stand which takes up barely any counter space. Less plastic, less clean-up, dependable (so far), and small, making it convenient even for travel. I'm really glad I got this, and hope it will last. One last thing, do not turn it on while cleaning under running water. (Yes, you can laugh.)
