De Absinth Francois Guy De Pontarlier is een absint afkomstig uit Frankrijk. Guy is een van de weinige distilleerderijen die nog Absint produceerden in het Belle Epoch en is gedistilleerd volgens een traditioneel en authentiek recept, welke van generatie op generatie is doorgegeven sinds de tijd van Armand Guy.

De Absint wordt gedistilleerd in oude ketels die al sinds het einde van de 19e eeuw worden gebruikt. Hij beschikt over een lichte bitterheid van de alsem die ze zelf verbouwen met sterke tonen van anijs, omringd door diverse kruiden. Het aroma van de drank is aangenaam, enigszins aromatisch en een beetje houtachtig en vertoont een zekere gelijkenis met Pastis.

De drank komt goed tot zijn recht als er water aan wordt toegevoegd en de smaak blijft eenvoudig en verfrissend, niet dun of zwaar, waarbij de veelzeggende houtige tonen bij elke slok zijn aanwezigheid kenbaar maakt.

My last Timex 1440 lasted 10 years before the battery was low enough that the backlight was too weak to see at night. I replaced the battery on it but did not seal the o ring well enough with silicon grease so it leaked and quit working. I also had also replaced the band once.
