IODOSORB-verband is een steriel verband met cadexomeer-jodium. Na aanbrengen reinigt het de wond door vocht te absorberen, pus en debris te verwijderen en een vochtige gel op het wondoppervlak te vormen. Terwijl IODOSORB in situ opzwelt, komt het actieve jodium vrij. Hierdoor worden residente micro-organismen in de wond gedood en verandert IODOSORB van kleur.
