Deze klassieke, gehamerde klankschaal draagt een eigen, unieke klank. De combinatie van de 8 metalen, samen met de diameter en dikte van elke schaal, bepaalt het karakter van het geluid en de boventonen. Daardoor is iedere klankschaal een uniek ritueelobject, met zijn eigen verhaal.

De klankschaal is met de hand vervaardigd uit koper, tin en acht edele metalen (Ag, Ni, Cd, Ru, Pd, Pt, Cr, Mn).
Je ontvangt de schaal assorti, met of zonder gravering aan de bovenrand.

Uitgebreide beschrijving
Het maken van een gehamerde klankschaal is een intensieve handwerktraditie. Elke schaal wordt met aandacht in de juiste vorm gehamerd, in verschillende fasen, om een heldere en zuivere toon te bereiken. De basis bestaat uit een smeltproces waarbij koper, tin en andere metalen worden samengesmolten, afhankelijk van het type schaal. Daarna wordt het metaal in mallen gegoten tot schijven van verschillende afmetingen en diktes, die de basis vormen voor het verdere werk. Deze schijven worden zorgvuldig op elkaar gelegd en opnieuw verhit tot ze roodgloeiend zijn. Vervolgens hamerend, met behulp van mallen, krijgen ze hun komvorm. Dit vakmanschap vraagt geduld en ervaring, want het metaal moet precies warm genoeg zijn om te vormen zonder te scheuren. In de laatste fase krijgt elke schaal zijn definitieve vorm en klank. Dit gebeurt met fijn hamerwerk en meerdere verhittingsronden. Tot slot worden de klankschalen aan binnen- en buitenzijde geslepen, gepolijst en soms met beitels bewerkt, zodat ze hun eigen, gedragen uiterlijk krijgen.
