Naast de Airtec Motorsport front mount intercooler upgrade voor het VAG MQB EA888.3 platform is deze nu ook beschikbaar als kit met upgrade boost pipes. Deze intercooler, met een 63 mm kern en hoogwaardige gegoten eindtanks, vervangt direct het kleinere en beperkende OEM-systeem. Ondanks deze verbetering past de Airtec intercooler netjes achter de originele bumper, zonder trimmen of snijden. De boost pipes vervangen de smallere OEM boost pipes wat voor betere airflow en meer vermogen zorgt.

De intercooler werd op de dyno getest en toonde aanzienlijk lagere luchtinlaattemperaturen dan de OEM-versie. Met de Airtec-intercooler was er enorme daling van 120 graden zichtbaar, waardoor temperaturen veel dichter bij de omgevingstemperatuur bleven en betrouwbaarder waren bij elke run. Dit resulteerde in een enorme prestatieverbetering.|
De hot side heeft een diameter van 63mm om de airflow hoog te houden en de effecten van de turbovertraging op auto’s met een groot vermogen te verminderen. De boost pipes aan de cold side zijn maar liefst 70mm om een maximale luchtstroom te creëren.

Let op: de Big Boost-pipe set past NIET bij een versnellingsbak met 7 versnellingen.
