Met de NVR kun je beeldmateriaal opnemen van camera's met een maximale resolutie tot 32 megapixels. De recorder is voorzien van 2x 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN-poort voor netwerkaansluiting, 2x 4K HDMI, 2x VGA, drie USB-poorten (2x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0) en audio en alarm- (16/10) in/uitgang. Het werkelijke verbruik van het apparaat bedraagt minder dan 50W (zonder aangesloten HDD’s) en de voeding wordt vanuit het netwerk opgelost met behulp van 2 geïntegreerde bronnen met mogelijkheid tot redundantie.
De maximale inkomende datastroom is 384 Mbps, de uitgaande datastroom is 384 Mbps. De NVR ondersteunt Ultra 265/H.265/H.264 codecs, en camera's van derden die de ONVIF-standaard ondersteunen (Profile S, Profile G, Profile T) kunnen ook worden aangesloten.
De 508(E-R)-serie van Uniview zijn NDAA-conforme NVR's.
