Deze wijnen van kendall Jackson zijn zeer geliefd, hun twee toppers namelijk de Chardonnay en Zinfandel zitten nu verpakt in deze originele houten kist. Een geweldig kado vind u niet! Smaakomschrijving wit: Al zeer lange tijd een van de meest verkochte wijnen uit Californië deze witte Kendall Jackson Chardonnay Vintner's Reserve. De druiven zijn afkomstig uit het gebied Coastal Vineyards, daar groeien de druiven het beste op en geven deze witte wijn zijn volle karakter. Na de handmatige oogst worden de druiven gerijpt op eiken houten vaten, maar dat is wel merkbaar in de geur en de smaak in deze Kendall Jackson Chardonnay. In de geur rijpe nuances van perzik, vanille, abrikozen, mango en lichte iets van eiken hout. De smaak is echt fantastisch, een wereldwijde topper heerlijk vol en licht romige smaak. Mooie indrukken van tropische fruit, abrikozen, vanille stokjes en iets van gebrande noten. De Chardonnay van Kendall Jackson is een wijn om van te houden, echt heerlijk! Smaakomschrijving rood: Een wijn om nooit meer te vergeten deze rode Zinfandel van Kendall Jackson. Er wordt zeer veel zorg gepleegd om deze wijn te maken, zo komen de druiven van speciaal geselecteerde wijngaarden in Californië. De gehele oogst Zinfandel druiven worden met de hand geplukt en geselecteerd om er voor te zorgen dat alleen het beste sap terecht komt in de fles. Het zacht geperste sap gaat vervolgens het eiken houten vat in voor een periode van 8 a 10 maanden. Zo ontwikkeld hij zich tot een van de beste van Californië ! De Vintner’s Reserve serie is toonaangevend op de Amerikaanse wijnmarkt. In de geur heeft deze Zinfandel indrukken van pruimen en donker fruit aangevuld met kruiden, peper, vanille en een toets van eiken. De smaak is vol en zeer zacht te noemen, rijpe smaken van bramen, kersen en bessen. Maar ook mooie nuances van kruiden, vanille, eiken hout en chocolade.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
