De Apple iPhone 8 Plus heeft een compleet nieuw design dat volledig gemaakt is van glas dat omrand is met een sterke aluminium rand. De telefoon is uitgerust met de Bionic A11 van Apple. Het is de meest krachtige en slimste processor die tot op heden in een smartphone is gebruikt. De chip is tot 30 procent sneller dan de processor in de iPhone 7 Plus. Dit betekent dat 3D apps en games soepeler draaien en dat je favoriete apps sneller werken. Daarnaast heeft de camera een grotere en snellere sensor en kun je de smartphone draadloos opladen.

Duurzaam design van glas
De iPhone 8 Plus is de duurzaamste iPhone tot op heden. De voor- en achterzijde zijn gemaakt van het sterkste glas en de telefoon is omgeven door een sterke aluminium band met een kwaliteit die ook in de luchtvaart wordt gebruikt. Een speciale oleofobische coating maakt het makkelijk om vlekken en vingerafdrukken te verwijderen. Daarnaast is de smartphone IP67 spat-, water- en stofbestendig.

Accuduur en draadloos opladen
Je kunt tot wel 13 uur surfen over het internet, 60 uur muziek luisteren en tot 21 uur lang bellen met de iPhone 8 Plus voordat je deze weer moet opladen. Het opladen kan doordat de telefoon van glas gemaakt is nu ook draadloos. Je hoeft de iPhone 8 Plus alleen maar op een Qi-oplader te leggen en het opladen begint meteen. De iPhone 8 Plus is geschikt voor snel-laden, hiervoor kun je een optionele snel-lader gebruiken. Hiermee laad je de telefoon binnen 30 minuten weer tot 50 procent op.

Beeldscherm en camera
De iPhone 8 Plus heeft een 5.5 inch Retina HD-display met True Tone. De True Tone technologie zorgt ervoor dat de witbalans automatisch wordt afgestemd op het omgevingslicht. Hierdoor verkrijg je altijd de beste en natuurgetrouwe beeldkwaliteit. De 12 megapixel camera heeft een grotere en snellere sensor met een nieuw kleurenfilter, verbeterde pixeltechnologie en optische beeldstabilisatie voor zowel foto als video. Als extra heeft de telefoon naast een groothoeklens een telelens waarmee je gebruik kunt maken van optische zoom, tot tien keer digitale zoom voor foto's en tot zes keer digitale zoom voor video's. De camera op de achterzijde is uitgerust met Augmented Reality technologie. Hiermee kun je virtuele objecten afbeelden in de echte wereld. Finally a Cooling Blanket That Actually Works for Hot Sleepers

I first got to know this brand when they released their cooling pillow. At the time, I was very skeptical because I’ve tried many “cooling” pillows and pillowcases from other brands, and almost all of them failed to stay cool throughout the night. Surprisingly, this brand was the first one that actually worked for me. Going through menopause has been extremely difficult, especially dealing with the constant heat and night sweats. I kept thinking that if they could somehow use the same cooling technology in a blanket, it would be amazing — and they actually did it. This blanket has honestly been a lifesaver for me. One side has the cooling fabric while the other side feels more like a regular blanket, so you can switch depending on the temperature or season. I’ve been using a silk comforter before this, and while it was comfortable, it really didn’t help much with overheating at night. This cooling blanket made a noticeable difference almost immediately. What impressed me most is that the cooling effect doesn’t just disappear after a few minutes. It stays comfortably cool and lightweight through the night without feeling damp or overly thin. Since using it, I’ve actually been tracking improvements in my sleep using my WHOOP device, and over the past 20 days I’ve noticed my deep sleep readings improving consistently. The blanket also feels well made, soft, and lightweight without feeling cheap. For the quality and performance, I think the price is very fair, especially compared to other “cooling” bedding products that overpromise and underdeliver. If you struggle with hot sleeping, night sweats, or menopause-related heat issues, I would absolutely recommend giving this a try. It genuinely improved my sleep quality.

Great blanket for keeping cool, but doesn't magically defy physics.

This blanket is pretty awesome, and functions exactly as stated; however you might get the wrong impression from the image of the blanket in a the snowy mountains glowing blue as if its actively cooling. The blanket has two sides, the "cold" and "normal" side -- the cold side is the one that has the Q-max 0.45 effect, it actually feels cool to the touch. That being said, covering yourself with this blanket feels pretty similar to using a down blanket with a silk (or some cooler) fabric. It feels quite cool initially but eventually your body puts out enough heat and it "runs out" of cooling. Although this blanket doesn't magically actively generate cooling, its quite effective because it operates fundamentally differently from most blankets. Most blankets are engineered to keep you warm by trapping heat in; this blanket is explicitly designed to draw heat away from your body. As such, it is extremely effective if you use a fan or run the AC, because your body heat is drawn away from the top surface and the inner surface can "grab" and remove more heat. As you probably know, air is a great insulator so this blanket has to be making contact with your body to achieve the cooling effect. If you are familiar with the way "Under Armor" works, I believe this blanket uses a similar principle to keep you cool. This blanket is quite light weight and comfortable, with a very silky (polyester) feeling outer surface. I have not owned this for a year yet, but I'm quite confident that this blanket would be suitable for winter (in Southern California); except if you live in a snowy region. 5/5 for a somewhat high tech blanket that keeps you cool; its the best in cooling you can get without resorting to "active" cooled blankets such as ones with water circulation.
