Het doel van het spel is om zoveel mogelijk levels te voltooien om uit de gevangenis te ontsnappen.

Magic Maze Tower wordt gespeeld op een enkele leveltegel, zonder zandloper (je kunt je tijd nemen!), zonder een “doe iets” fiche, maar de communicatie is nog steeds beperkt: Spreken is verboden.
