We kennen Bodegas LAN natuurlijk al jaren en kennen de top kwaliteit vanuit wijnhuis, maar toch wisten zij ons te verrassen met deze Rias Baixas. Het wijngebied wordt gescheiden door de Miño rivier van Portugal. De rivier kent een belangrijke rol bij de opgroeien van de druiven. De frisse wind die altijd door de wijngaarden waait geeft ons een zeer rijk gevoel met veel verfrissing. In totaal kent Santiago Ruiz z'n 38 hectare aan wijngaarden verdeeld over de wijnstreek Rias Baixas. Zij weten als geen ander om te gaan met een koel klimaat en hebben de wijngaarden op de juiste plekken, tientallen jaren geleden aangeplant.De samenstelling voor deze Santiago Ruiz wijn
Voor deze top wijn worden er verschillende druiven verbouwd namelijk de Albariño druif die de hoofdrol heeft met daarbij een beetje Loureiro, Treixadura, Godello en Caiño Blanco. Deze unieke samenstelling laat deze witte wijn boven de concurrenten uit steken. De wijngaarden liggen op een hoogte van wel 75 meter boven zee niveau en geniet daar van veel zon licht en natuurlijk veel verkoeling. De oogst verloopt erg gelijkmatig en de druiven kunnen alles opnemen uit de rijke bodem structuur. Als de oogst rijp is worden ze met de hand binnen gehaald en enkel de beste trossen worden geperst. Alle druiven worden apart van elkaar naar Santiago Ruiz gebracht en gevinifieerd. De wijnmakerster maakt vervolgens de blend tussen de druiven soorten waarna de unieke stijl van de Rias Baixas is geboren. Wijnmaakster Luisa Freire is trots op haar wijn, vol en zeer aromatisch.Vol en zeer krachtig deze Santiago Ruiz Rias Baixas
Op het etiket vind u een tekening van de situatie waar de druiven worden verbouwd. Dit geeft de drinker wat meer informatie en de rijke geschiedenis van Rias Baixas. In het glas kleurt hij prachtig helder geel met een groene schittering. Hij knalt het glas uit, en geeft ons geuren van groene appel, abrikoos, citrus en wat anijs en mineralen. We waren direct smoorverliefd en de liefde is nooit meer over gegaan toen wij deze Santiago Ruiz uit het wijngebied Rias Baixas dronken. Zo veel liefde in een fles wijn, ja het kan. De tong wordt geprikkeld door een fijn boeket aan wit en citrus fruit met daarbij lichte groene kruiden. Is de wijn even in de mond dan geeft hij ook nuances van abrikoos, limoen en wat groene peper. De afdronk is perfect, heerlijk fris met een ongekend zuivere nasmaak.Shipping Notes

I Hate This Book, BUT You HAVE to Purchase It....Unfortunately

It's not that I really hate this book, I more hate the organizations that produces this book. First, I'm assuming this has not been done, but the editors of all the "prestigious" law reviews who write and edit this book need to get their act together and hire a professional company to rework the appendix and table of contents to be more helpful! The information is surely in the book, but it's unnecessarily overly difficult to find the information you're looking for. The Blue Book(tm) indeed has a monopoly on the legal citation market, which is why you MUST purchase it (unless you'd prefer to look like a moron when you submit your documents to the court only to have them sent back because nothing was cited properly...you don't want to be known as "that attorney").
Ok, I'm amending my complaint/review. The book is not too bad once you spend around 100 hours with it. After that, you'll get the hang of it and the book is not that bad. Although, I still stand behind my last review recommending that the editors provide a better table of contents and index.

It’s a Bluebook!

What can I say about the Bluebook...I hate it because it means I’m working my butt off if I’m using it. It’s a necessary evil, and there’s no competition for legal writing!

Gift for a rising 1L
I wanted to provide a graduating undergraduate mentee with practical resources for law school as a graduation gift. I ordered this and Barron's Law Dictionary: Mass Market Edition. While she hasn't yet used either book, as a law professor, I am confident she will get good use out of both. This is a law school staple. You cannot lose in buying it for a new law student.
