Over de fabrikant:

Salins aardewerk ontstond in 1857 in Salins-les-Bains in de regio Franche-Comté, Frankrijk.

De 1e aardewerkfabriek werd in 1857 opgericht door keramisten Moniotte en Granger, in het voormalige klooster van Capucins. In 1858 werd een geschiktere fabriek gebouwd die in 1862 al moeilijkheden verkeerde door een gebrek aan waterkracht. Ze werd gekocht door chemicus François Bourgeois en aardewerkfabrikant Joseph Page.

In 1885 ging Page samenwerken met Claude François Rigal van de aardewerkfabriek Clairefontaine in Haute-Saône. Fijn aardewerk werd verbeterd en werd vergelijkbaar met porselein. De fabriek, uitgebreid door de overnames en gemoderniseerd door installatie van elektriciteitsturbines, had intussen 120 arbeiders in dienst in 1889.

In 1912 nam Édouard Charbonnier de leiding over en kreeg de fabriek, die in 1920 door een brand was verwoest, een nieuwe reputatie die in 1925 werd bekroond met een gouden medaille op de Internationale Tentoonstelling van Moderne Decoratieve en Industriële Kunsten in Parijs. 
In 1936 had waren er 230 werknemers.
Vanaf 1968 maakte Salins deel uit van het bedrijf Faïenceries de Sarreguemines en specialiseerde het zich in sanitairkeramiek. De productie van gewoon aardewerk stopte in 1988 en die van duurdere artikelen in 1998.

Wow! Queen Helene Cocoa Butter. What can I say about this timeless classic lotion. Well first off, if you were growing up on the free school lunch program or had almost no money in your household while living off other government subsidies, Queen Helene Cocoa Butter was on your shelf somewhere in your home because of its price. We can all have a good laugh about Queen Helene Cocoa Butter on what it represented for those with little money. However, it always did the job on protecting and softening your skin without spending so much money on more expensive lotions. I'll always have a bottle in my house as long as I live because it WORKS!!!
