De DST221RTJ nietmachine van Makita heeft een rachtig slagmechanisme door veerdruk voor probleemloos nieten in alle gangbare ondergronden. De nietmachine heeft een in vier stappen instelbaar voetje die toe laat de indrijfdiepte te regelen om de nieten volledig te verzinken zonder isolatiepapier en dergelijke te beschadigen. De veiligheidsneus laat zowel één voor één nieten als 'springend' nieten toe. De rubberen bekleding van het machinehuis voorkomt krassen op het werkstuk bij het neerleggen van het nietpistool. Een handig doorkijkvenster op de nietvoorraad voorkomt leeg nieten. De machine heeft een ergonomische, naar onder versmallende, handgreep met comfortabele softgrip bekleding. Het nietpistool wordt geleverd met twee krachtige 5,0Ah Li-ion schuifaccu's met elektronische overbelastings-, oververhittings- en diepontlaadbeveiliging.
