De Rubus idaeus 'Ottawa' is een vroege rode herfstframboos. De vruchten zijn niet groot maar wel uitstekend van smaak. 'Ottawa' bloeit in mei en je kan de vruchten plukken in augustus. De 'Ottawa' is zelfbestuivend en heeft dus geen andere frambozenplant nodig om vruchten te krijgen.  Deze framboos is winterhard en kan wel temperaturen tot -20 °C verdragen.

Verzorgen
Je kunt een Rubus het beste net na de winter of in het vroege voorjaar in de juiste vorm snoeien. Het is voor deze fruitplant genoeg om 12 tot 14 stengels per struik te laten staan, de rest mag weggesnoeid worden. Hij houdt van een zonnige standplaats. Hoe meer zon de plant krijgt, hoe meer vruchten er aan zullen komen. Hij houdt van een humusrijke tot normale grond.

Hoe ziet mijn fruitplant er precies uit?
De geleverde Rubus idaeus 'Ottawa' kan, afhankelijk van het bestelmoment, afwijken van de getoonde afbeeldingen. Omdat een Rubus een natuurproduct is met verschillende groei- en bloeistadia, is het niet mogelijk altijd exact de juiste stadia in afbeeldingen weer te geven. Hieronder zie je hoe de Rubus er per seizoen uit ziet.
