Bodegas LAN is gevestigd in Rioja, een gebied wat al eeuwenlang toonaangevend is. In 1926, bijna 100 jaar geleden kreeg het zijn eerste wettelijke erkenning. Dit maakt Rioja meteen een van de oudste wijngebieden van Spanje. Het Boegas LAN werd een halve eeuw, in 1972 opgericht. In het begin was de visie helder: goede Rioja wijnen maken, zonder poespas. Echter is er iets gesleuteld aan die visie. Bodegas LAN wil innoveren, investeren en experimenteren. LAN a Mano Edicion Limitada is een blend van tempranillo (85%), Graciano (10%) en Mazuelo (5%). De gemiddelde leeftijd van de druivenstokken ligt tussen de 35 en 40 jaar. Alle druivenrassen groeien op de kleine wijngaard El Rincon. Deze wijngaard is slecht 5.34 hectare groot en licht iets ten zuiden van de basis van het wijnhuis. De wijngaard waar die druiven groeien voor LAN a Mano Edicion Limitada ligt iets hoger, wat ten goede komt aan de ontwikkeling van de druiven. Na de handmatige oogst ondergaat de wijn eerst een houtlagering van 8 maanden op nieuwe Frans eiken. Doordat het hout nieuw is, geeft deze enorm veel smaak af. Vervolgens wordt het sap overgepompt op houten vaten uit de Kaukasus. Inderdaad, een bijzonderheid in de wijnbouw. Solid little workhorse

Worth it!

A necessity for anyone trying to elevate their espresso making game. I use this to measure my beans and to also measure the shot I pull and how long it takes to pull. It’s great quality and totally worth it. The scale is very quick to start when the shot starts to pull. Easy to use and a great scale.

Works prefectly, accurate, easy to use, and looks great.

I didn't expect much but it works really well and seems to be very accurate. It's much more sensitive (to 0.1g) than the scale I was using to measure my coffee and the autostart timer works really well. Also, unlike my other scale, this one is USB-C rechargable and so far has no indication of needing a recharge after a week or so of daily use. My other scale uses CR2032 batteries and goes through a pair every three weeks, so being able to recharge instead is quite nice.
It's small and I can use it to time the extraction and also use it to measure out heated water for tea, or whatever I need. This is definitely a steal for the price.

Great value and full-functioned.

This is a simple, elegant little scale with timer. It's perfect for use with a small espresso machine like my Breville Bambino Plus. It shifts easily from counter use weighing beans before grinding, to placing on the drip tray to time and weigh shots. The top is smooth and water resistant. I think it's a great value.

Premium experience from a scale
This scale is not cheap, but it comes with a premium experience. The overall build quality is excellent, and it looks and feels great. Scale is extremely sensitive and response, and very consistent. Quick to zero, quick to turn on. Display is clear and easy to read. Well insulated from water, with only the bottom being semi-exposed to liquids (note that it is NOT waterproof, so still be careful - do not submerge it).
It also has an espresso mode which can be toggled on/off. That mode will automatically tare when placing things on it, meaning you can weigh your beans, take off the bowl and put back on a cup to brew the espresso into, all without tareing manually. It also detects when you're actually brewing, and it does so by detecting a steady flow of liquid. This specifically can be a bit finicky, it may or may not work for you depending on your machine and how you brew.
My only single complaint is the volume of the beeping. By default it plays a loud beep whenever you're using the touch buttons. It is very loud and I turned it off immediately. Unfortunately it seems there is no way to lower the volume on the beeps. Not a deal-breaker at all for me, but something to consider if you care about audio feedback.
