Onze Rahayu kussenhoes is door ervaren wevers met de hand geweven op traditionele weefgetouwen van het fijnste natuurlijke katoen. De natuurlijke kleur van het materiaal blijft behouden en komt nog beter tot zijn recht dankzij het subtiele streepjespatroon.

Met zijn puristische maar toch aantrekkelijke uitstraling past het kussen naadloos in uw woonstijl en creëert het een zachte en moderne sfeer. Rahayu kan ook prachtig gecombineerd worden met andere kussenhoezen met patronen, zoals onze Seraja en Flores, om een extra vleugje verfijning aan je woonruimte toe te voegen.

De kussenhoes is verkrijgbaar in twee maten, 40x40 en 50x50 cm, en is voorzien van een praktische hotelsluiting aan de achterkant voor eenvoudig inbrengen en verwijderen van het kussen. Om de kwaliteit van de kussensloop te behouden, raden wij een zachte handwas in koud water aan. Bleken en direct drogen in de zon moeten ook worden vermeden.

Materiaal: katoen

Onze kussenslopen zijn gemaakt van plantaardige vezels. Ze ruiken en voelen daarom heerlijk naar de natuur.

Voor onze producten gebruiken wij katoen van lokale boeren op Java. De katoenvelden worden op natuurlijke wijze bemest en de katoenbollen worden met de hand geplukt. Het katoen wordt vervolgens in een egreneringsmachine van de capsule gescheiden. Het verkregen katoen wordt tot balen geperst, gekamd en met de hand tot garen gesponnen. Nadat het garen op deze manier is gesponnen, wordt het door de ambachtslieden met de hand verwerkt op traditionele houten weefgetouwen. Katoen kenmerkt zich door zijn absorptievermogen en huidvriendelijkheid. Ons katoen is niet chemisch bewerkt en is daarom niet geschikt voor de wasdroger. De producten moeten op lage temperaturen worden gestreken.

Bij de selectie van onze lokale producenten hechten wij waarde aan een eerlijk loon en goede arbeidsomstandigheden. In de fabrieken waar we onze goederen kopen, werken we alleen met volwassen en ervaren ambachtslieden. Bij het productieproces worden geen schadelijke chemicaliën gebruikt. Omdat alle werkstappen met de hand worden uitgevoerd, genereert het productieproces nauwelijks uitstoot van broeikasgassen. Dit alles verzekeren wij door regelmatige bezoeken ter plaatse en permanent persoonlijk contact met de bedrijven.

This is one of those products where you immediately understand the price the second you touch it. First off—this definitely IS real silk, not satin, which is important to verify (esp at this price point). There are so many listings on Amazon of bonnets and pillowcases, sheets etc claiming “silk” and when you get it, it’s satin. This pillowcase is 100% mulberry silk, and you can feel it immediately. What surprised me though is that I actually have other 100% mulberry silk items (my daughter’s play silks from Sarah’s Silks), and somehow this pillowcase feels way smoother and more luxurious than those. Same material on paper, totally different experience in real life. From what I can tell, it’s thicker and more tightly woven, which gives it that extra silky, almost glassy feel. It’s buttery smooth, lightweight, and has that cool-to-the-touch finish that’s honestly a dream in the Phoenix, AZ heat, where it’s already 105 in March. Beckham Hotel Collection 22 Momme Silk Pillowcase

This is a 100% Mulberry silk pillowcase (22 momme, 6A grade) in the Cherry Pink color, Queen size. Unboxing and Prep Out of the box, the silk had noticeable deep creases from being folded. I hand washed it and air dried it, but the wrinkles remained. I used a steam iron at approximately 300F with a flour sack towel as a pressing cloth to protect the fabric. It took two passes to get most of the wrinkles out, but the silk held its sheen well throughout the process. Zipper and Construction The zipper tracks are hidden behind a fabric flap so you don't feel the teeth. However, the zipper pull is not fully integrated or tucked away; it hangs free at the end of the track. The pull is small enough that it hasn't been an issue or gotten in the way during use, but it's worth noting it isn't completely "invisible." Fit and Quality The Cherry Pink is a very light, subtle shade. The 22 momme weight feels substantial and opaque. I paired this with a high-loft Sobel Westex Bellazure Duo (feather and down) pillow. The Queen size fits perfectly and the silk stays smooth and cool. Final Thoughts The build quality is solid and the Oeko-TEX certification is a nice touch. To get the best results, you really need to pair this with a high-quality, fluffy pillow to fill out the case properly. On a flat or low-density pillow, it wouldn't look or perform nearly as well. It requires some maintenance with the hand washing and ironing, but the feel is much better than thinner 19 momme options.
