De Petromax Cast-Iron Trivet is een onderzetter van massief gietijzer die eersteklas warmtegeleidende eigenschappen bevat en het mogelijk maakt om voedsel in de Dutch ovens FT4.5, FT6, FT9 en FT12 te bakken en te sudderen zonder aanbranden. Het kan meteen worden gebruikt dankzij de zogenaamde pre-seasoned afwerking.

Bij het grillen direct op het vuur, laat het perfecte grillsporen achter op het stuk vlees of de groenten. Dankzij de knoppen aan de onderkant staat hij stabiel in het vuur en kan hij worden gebruikt als een steun voor het neerzetten van een percolator, een waterketel, enzovoort. De Petromax Cast-Iron Trivet kan ook worden gebruikt als een praktische onderzetter voor heet kookgerei op een tafel.
